What do you guys think of CF Vanguard?

It started out a bit slow for my taste, but I gave it a chance and watched the second episode and now I'm really enjoying where this anime is going. I'm a Yu-Gi-Oh fan as well, but the only thing I see the same is that it's a card game. Really looking forward to seeing more episodes as they are released, and I'm really liking each character.

Bad rip off, but it has potential.

i find it entertaining i wish people would stop complaining about how its like an instructional video rather then a show. i mean they have to explain the game there's just no way around it.
anyways next week they are introducing the last main character so hopefully a plot starts developing. |

I like it. Although, I really don't think it's anything like Yu-Gi-Oh!. In any case, next week's episode appears to move away from Card Capital and involve a mysterious card shop (hence the next episode's title). It looks like this is where the "Serious Business" trope will start coming into play...

It has a slow start for sure, but I know it's necessary. I play Magic the Gathering (MTG) and it reminds me a lot like that.

I like it too, it gives off a good vibe and it has potential.
My favorite characters are Misaki and Kamui. |

I like the show, the anime direction for the card game is fun to follow and reminds me of times when I first got into card games, like my first tournament and just hanging out with my friends. Its much different then the standard save the world story

I'm really liking this series and it's characters and look forward to watching it every week :)
I'm even interested in playing the card game as well. I like the card artwork and designs and It looks fun, (even though I've never touched a card game in my life). If I'm being totally honest though, it was Aichi's adorable character and his fondness for Kai that initially sparked my interest in the show, but now I have quite a few reasons as to why I watch it. I like pretty much all of the characters aside from Morikawa. But I'll never stop being a KaixAi fangirl! That was pretty much set in stone ever since I saw the second episode. xD And after watching episode 29, the series has really drawn me in. I'm really interested in learning more about Ren and his relation to Kai and how the nationals with turn out. It's so suspenseful! lol xD |

glad you like it. I just love how the characters are developing right now. Most card game shows have a hard time to support the whole cast but CFV is doing a good job since it makes you want more

I thought I was a little weird hoping for the Kai X Aichi match ^_^ And the more I watch, the more I want to play, even though I haven't really played card games much. |

Never has a main character lost so frequently. But it's more like the writers are saying"Haha we know you want him to win, and he should buuut we're going to work on pissing you guys off. Of course we bend the plot to achieve this, but we'll piss you off more by calling it luck and waving it in your face...
Other than that I love this show to death. I love the concept and I do love the fact that the main character isn't an all mighty card playing god, he has to learn and build skill like a normal person. |

It's amazing how realistic it is, for a sports/competition anime. I liked how, in the fight Aichi lost to Jurassic Army in the Nationals, it showed that, "normally, the protagonist always gets super lucky...but the nature of luck is that your opponents get lucky just as often." |
