I like the concepts so I keep watching. I'm disapointed that they had to play up the harem aspect. it would have been so much more cool if the dragon hunter and the dragon empress got to be their own couple.

The dragon and the George.. hehe!

I was caught by the concept of this show as well, and feel like its sorta going in a less action filled path that I was hoping for. Especially since it seems like it'll be pretty short.

This show is just your typical run of the mill formulaic shounen crap. Seems like the last few drops of creativity left in the well anime studios have been drinking from have finally dried up this season. I face palmed, it was just that bad.

Dragons are awesome but not the way they're portrayed in this show.

Okay so what anime shows in the last few years were those final drops of creativity? I think you'd be hard-pressed in the last SEVERAL years to find any anime that was COMPLETELY original and didn't include ANY ideas or concepts that have shown themselves in other shows. And if you did, I bet most them no one either bothered to watch because of how strange and not very entertaining they were. I personally would rather watch a well done anime that has been done before, than a original piece of trash. Just because something is original it doesn't make it good.

Episode 4 was better than I expected, but where's my chick with the different colored eyes?! I wants her, nao!

So would I. I agree completely with you there. Creativity doesn't strictly mean "original" in all aspects. You're putting words in my mouth with that statement or have simply misread what I said or perhaps trying to hard to read in between the lines.

There are a few non-original formula driven shows in the past few seasons that still managed to be fairly creative in their presentation. However, this particular show just seems to have gone for every possible contrived genre cliche/stereotype they could in order to generate ratings with in their target demographic. It's not as if the show isn't without any kind of merit. The art direction isn't bad. I also like the general concept as I have a soft spot for dragons.

Just with the current given amount of episodes aired it's "ah yup, this happens, that happens, the end." now some people love that kind of stuff like a good popcorn action flick thats fine to each their own. My statement was just from my personal opinion and observations from the current episodes that have aired so far depending how the story develops my opinion may even change as it's only a few episodes in. Hopefully this clarifies what I was saying more. My statement was oriented more towards folks that don't enjoy that kind of contrived cliche type of show to go "oh, i may avoid this one" or for those that like that sort of thing "oh, i may want to watch it"

While I like the show, I decided to put it on hold until the last episode's available to me. I have too many series I am watching to really keep track of them all.

Indeed this is where it started to push me over the edge they just seem to be trying to pull in every contrived genre cliche in they can as they go along. The general concept of the show is whats making me keep my eye on it as well. Hopefully as the story progresses a bit more they'll surprise us with something. Hopefully.

Indeed. well maybe "Maruga" was doing that to pull Rose's chain a little. I really did think she and George were hitting it off. It'd be nice in one of this shows if not EVERY female was chasing the hero.

I mean... it was amusing in Girl Bravo... but.

I really like this show, but there's not enough tension in it. For whatever reason, it just seems really 2D.

I do like this show btw >.>;

I mean, yeah there are things that I don't like about it that I've seen time and time again that I wish they wouldn't do. I don't care about this guy's school or his school friends. It would be better if they just did not exist in the story in my point of view. Because then you get the cliche sweet innocent school girl that likes the main male role, but he's alway running around with this other wierd girl how happens to be the main character and she feels jealous. I don't know why these shows insist on doing the same thing over and over. Maybe they are in a hurry to meet a deadline or something. Still, it doesn't necessarily RUIN the show. It still has SOME originality and redeeming qualities. I would classify this show as an fantasy, action, romance, supernatural, hareem anime. Much like a Shakugan no Shana. It's LIKE that show but it's NOT the same show just because it is like it. Show me one anime where there are dragons walking around and acting like they are people. I can't think of any. Not unless they made and anime series of "Breath of Fire." That doesn't seem like much but it is something original or at least uncommon. Too me it's just not worth missing the elements that are actually original just because there are things also in the anime that are not original.

It's not one of the best shows of the season. I'm watching. I think it's an ok anime. I like it mostly because dragons are cool. If you are into dragons I think you will probably like this anime. If dragons aren't really your thing. Than really this doesn't have much of anything to keep you interested in watching it. That is basically the bottom line as I see it.

I like that one better too. And Level E. And Fractale. And Yumekui Merry. And Gosick. I like it about the same as Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica. But I like it A LOT better than Beezlebub, Letter Bee, and Freezing. And a lot of people seem to like Beezlebub and Letter Bee.
