So, I've looked at the 'forum' and aside from the one thread which has one post (that being the meeting room) thread, I've noticed that well, some people may not know how to roleplay - at least in a way that makes things easier for others to read.
So, I do roleplay constantly, and if you'd like I'll copy & paste a few of my posts where I roleplay;
It's set in a hidden academy where magic and war reign, and where two countries are at war.
If you want more details, go on here: http://occulo-academy.deviantart.com/
Read the journals, with the history and backstory;.
Now, here's my example, which is in the spoiler. ; All characters belong to their respectful owners; Dyrrol belongs to : brettdagirl.deviantart.com
Nil, and Lykai belong to me,
and said fox boy (Roran) belongs to : slowpokish.deviantart.com
The setting is in a Cathedral, where Dyrrol Shroud is the house sponsor of the house that Lykai is in, Nil is Lykai's 'guardian'-familiar, and Roran the fox boy is a friend of Lykai's who seems to have affections for her but doesn't seem to know any better. Dyrrol has zero tolerance of Nil, and apparently has feelings for Lykai, who's a student. Giving the wolf girl's past, she's very wary of men, considering she was raped and all.. Anyways, that's beside the point. ; Nil's thoughts which are in italics are referring to Roran, seeing as earlier, Lykai was getting pissed off at Dyrrol, and well, Nil just made matters worse. He appeared and then he danced with the girl before pissing off Shroud to the point where he pulled a gun and attempted to shoot Nil. What did Nil do? Pull a jackass move and put Lykai in the line of fire, where she got shot in the stomach.
Anywho, here's the example.
Each punch was met without a sound coming from Nil. Silence. That was all that he offered - or perhaps taunted the mist-wolf with. He wouldn't give him the satisfaction of beating him no doubt.
But, as he listened to the older man's words, he began to laugh. Maybe it was mockery, heck, he might've thought that it was funny to boot. But there was a malicious glint in his eye as he spat into Dyrrol's face.
"And why do you care? She's just a puppet, ah yes, but you're too blind about her 'beauty' and her 'selfless' character to even care. Save me the fucking drama Shroud, she'll be dead depending on how fast things get churned up. While you're living your little fantasy world of making sweet passionate love to a dead body, as well as trying to control my little pup, - don't think I noticed. You only hate Roran and myself, because she trusts us, and NOT you. She trusts some little fox whom she met in the beginning of the year and a jackass of a guardian who she grew up with, and not some strong, perfect, protector who breaks hearts whenever he gets the chance! And, if you still didn't notice, you're just as stupid as the majority of the student body in this school is. Well, go on then, continue living your fantasy of mist and girls and heroics, but if there's one thing that I've warned any man who tried to get close to Ly, it's this:
She'll only bring you misery and pain.
She's a rogue wolf, and if a dumbass like you can't understand what that means, then shoot me now and let me disintergrate into pixie dust. She can't stand being controlled unless the person has her respect and devotion. Power wise, it doesn't matter. And you, Shroud, are in no league whatsoever."
With that, he turned his head to where the wolf girl was, an almost affectionate look crossed his face as he watched her recoil at the fox boy's gentle nursing, but then gradually gave in, leaning against the second year and growling lowly from the pain, before kissing the fox boy on the neck affectionately, muttering something, the words escaping his ears as he focused on shifting into the shadows, not caring what happened next.
Stupid Pup. Always pushing them away, he's good to you, even though he might save his sorry ass when the time comes for it, but I don't think he'll let you get turned into a pile of rotting flesh, and you might be useful to them... Perhaps.
And with that thought, he shifted from the shadows, a wolf with no eyes snarled at the mist-wolf, shadows coiling off of its fur, swirling and dancing around, it was as if faces were laughing and glaring at the teacher...
"Well then Shroud, are you going to fight me the ol' fashioned way or are you going to cheat with those bullets of yours?"
Now, what's different? For one, it's usually best to use a third person view when roleplaying. Don't use 'chat' speak or emotes.
If you do, don't interrupt in the middle of what you're writing and go (Aahhahah you're so funny! Now stfu D: . ) and then continue writing. Refrain from doing that.
It's highly inconvenient and disrupts the flow of the roleplay. USE SPELL CHECK AND GRAMMAR.
No one likes reading paragraphs of searing hell. Just don't.
Stay in character, DO NOT GODMODE.
AT ALL. JUST NO . YOU'LL GET KICKED OUT OF A GROUP QUICKER THEN YOU CAN SAY PETER PIPER PIED PEPPER NEPPERS. or something.
Anyway, if you have any questions just feel free to reply.
