I've only watched the first episode so far, but I plan to watch the 2nd one soon.

I honestly couldn't decide if I liked it or not. I'm not sure what direction they are taking this, and I felt that too little really happened to make any kind of solid judgment about whether or not I should continue it. I'm going to continue watching for now, but for the time being I'm not eagerly awaiting the continuation of the story.

On a side note the video part of the opening sequence was awesome. It made me want to trip. Fractals look insane when you trip, and all the fractals in motion make for a really nice show.

Episode 2 is supposed to be aired on Jan. 24th on Hulu, if you want to wait for it to be posted there (I do, just because I prefer not to get a virus or malware from some of these off the wall sites).

As of this morning, that message at Hulu stating the second episode would be posted today is no longer present.

UPDATE @ 10:03 AM CST:

It is now official that the simulcast will be returning today:

One of the best sounding shows of the season has turned out to be below average so far.

Nessa has became my favorite character of this season. She's cute, lively, and 'fun.' Fractale is probably going to be my favorite show of this season as well.

Well here's my speculation of Nessa:

I believe it's safe to call her the "Key" of the world because of the dialogue we hear from the priestess.
She affects doppels and the technology in the Fractale world.

The show itself is slow paced but it's fine that way, because we're learning bits and bits of information about the world. And the time is used to developed characters/surrounding themes/give us a view of their world.

Nessa is carrying the series right now. they really need to get Claine in gear soon because he's pretty bland for a main!

Other than another case of the stupid decision of a woman doing the voice of a boy, I like it a lot.

Women are much better at voicing younger males than males are, it's because male voices change at one point in time, while female voices usually stay the same throughout life. I am fine with women voicing men. It makes no difference to me at all.

I really enjoyed the second episode. Nessa is funny and very inquisitive. And I liked that Clain got a little backbone in this episode - I think he may be a little less wishy-washy in the following episodes and have a little less resistance to change.
I will keep watching this show.

Really? Nessa is kind of annoying and hasn't shown any depth so far. At least Claine has a little depth. What's the matter, don't like his socks and his rolled up shorts? At least he is wearing some realistic looking clothes as opposed the ridiculous looking costumes the japanese like to slap on their characters. If anyone fits the description of a typical anime character it is Nessa, not Claine.

Episode 3:

The first half of the episode gave me some laughs, and the last quarter of the show caught me by surprise.

The part wit the star, and how it 'brainwashes' people, gave me a Fahrenheit 451 vibe. It seems like people don't think for themselves, and are brainwashed to believe they have no troubles. I'm interested in how the Fractale system is collapsing, from what the characters say.But first, I would like to know what it exactly is, and we're left with questions. There is a lot of development going on, and it's intriguing.

Oh great ep :D
Just as AsuraCryin, first half made me laugh and second half was suprising.
And I wasn`t even expecting to see Phryne again so soon.

Nessa is still the cutest characther of the winter season, even though there is one more of her XD
Though that other Nessa looked dull, though she is probably brainwashed :P

Want new ep now xD

While I agree that is the norm, several series I think it is better that a boy does it. Yuutaro Honjou, who turns 15 in late June, would seem cooler to voice Clain. Having watched the final episode of Cyborg 009 today (in honor of the 13th anniversary of creator Shotaro Ishinomori's death), Kana Ueda's voice as Cyborg 001? No comment other than it was impressively terrible.

Fractale has such a unique feel to it and i'm pretty sure i'm not the first person to say this but it definitely has the studio ghibli vibe to it i dunno whether its the art the plot or the soundtrack it could be all of them but my first impression of the series was "Is this a Ghibli production?" I will definitely watch the series even though in my opinions its one of the less interesting series but thats just my opinion.

The 3rd episode turned violent pretty quickly at the end. I honestly wasn't expecting that from this anime but it made it even more interesting. The whole thing with the glasses reminded me of the movie They Live.
