Has anybody seen 'The Green Hornet'? It came out this Friday and I heard it was really good. I expect it to be action-comedy since Seth Rogen is basically starring this movie. I want to know the opinions of others who have seen it. Is it a good movie? I'm a mad Jay Chou fan, from a fanboy non-homosexual wise. I think he's a talented singer and also lived up to most of movies. I just wonder how well will the director be able to incorporate his silent personality into an action-comedy movie. Do you think it's worth the trip to the movie or something you watch at home?

Cast
* Seth Rogen, as Britt Reid/The Green Hornet, a wealthy newspaper publisher who is secretly the masked crimefighter The Green Hornet.
* Jay Chou, as Kato, the Green Hornet's valet and sidekick, who is proficient in martial arts.
* Christoph Waltz as Benjamin Chudnofsky, a paranoid Russian gangster who plans to join all of the crime families of Los Angeles together to organize a "super-mafia."[1] Nicolas Cage had been in talks to play the role,[2] saying in 2009, "The Green Hornet was something I wanted to do. I think Michel Gondry is very talented and I had hoped it would work. But I think Seth Rogen and Michel had a different direction for the character tonally than the way I wanted to go. ... I wasn't interested in just being straight-up bad guy who was killing people willy-nilly. I had to have some humanity and try to give it something where you could understand why the character was the way he was. But there wasn't enough time to develop it."[3]
* Cameron Diaz, as Lenore "Casey" Case, the love interest of Reid.[1]
* Tom Wilkinson as James Reid, Britt's wealthy father and successful newspaper publisher, who does not approve of Britt's playboy lifestyle. James is killed, leading Britt to inherit his newspaper empire.
* Edward James Olmos as Mike Axford
* Edward Furlong as Tupper
* Analeigh Tipton as Ana Lee
* David Harbour as D.A. Frank Scanlon
* James Franco also makes a cameo appearance in the beginning of the film as an up-and-coming criminal who Christoph Waltz character kills.

I watched it yesterday~
It's really a great movie but in my opinion they shouldn't have made it in 3D and after what I noticed in the cinema yesterday is that it could be that the gags are hard to get.
I mean, me and my friends were the only ones laughing at Jay Chou's witty responses!
In my opinion, they shouldn't have taken Seth Rogen as The Green Hornet, I don't know why but it just didn't fit.
But Jay Chou was perfect for the role as Kato!
It was worth going to the cinema~ You should go, too, especially because of Jay Chou!
His screening times were the best in the whole movie~

I was really looking forward to seeing this then I saw the "IN 3D". That killed it for me. I saw Resident Evil in 3D and it didn't add anything to the experience. If anything 3D takes away from it. The glasses make the room too dark, and it looks like a "first person shooter movie". I guess I'll wait for the DVD.

I didn't really like this movie, it's not really worth spending your money (unless if you want to for mindless entertainment). There wasn't much to this movie, I was expecting it to be like Iron Man or Batman, but it felt more like G.I. Joe or Mortal Kombat live action films where you know how the film is going to end from the start of the movie. Like you know the bad guy is bad without much character development, Chou and Rogen didn't really have a buddy chemistry (not like Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson), and I hate to sound so negative but sometimes I didn't really make out what Chou was saying because of his accent. Rogen was definitely a miscast, was awkward watching him, I don't know why he was cast other than he helped come up with the story. Fight scenes were interesting but the shoot em up scenes were bothersome after a while. I agree with TeeWee30, 3D is really bad.

It was oookkaay.. It was definitely more of a comedy i think xD ! Christopher Waltz was good too, i didn't expect him to be in it at all XD ! haha

I liked the action scenes though ^ ^ a lot of people i know who saw it didn't like the fight scenes, but it's probably because they haven't seen action scenes like that. They were cool though (: Jay Chou was AWESUM!! It would be really cool if he got the badass award like Rain did last year, haha X) !

I grew up watching the show with Bruce Lee but this movie looks like a crappy slapstick comedy.

It was good. I watched it because I'm a fan of Jay Chou too, which started when I got to watch my now favorite movie 'Secret'. :))
