If there's another universe, so what? Are we going to go there or something? It's annoying how much time and money people spend trying to prove this theory...

What a shame. Due this theory and many other like it we have tecnnolgy we all use today. It figures someone would be annoyed by human curiosity and thrist for knowledge. Thus evolution of the mind is being slowed =/. To answer your question scientist are trying to find way to travel to them so yes we are some day.

And for tha wasting part....Atleast their wasting money on something constructive instead of war and massive bailouts =)

Spending millions of dollars on a theory of a multiverse that probably doesn't exists might be constructive in some aspects, yet still questionable and somewhat absurd.

i dont believe in the mutliverse theory id like to think im the original me and the only me.

i guess people think that way

But do you beleive the alternate jump as reffered to in the poster. EVERYTIME YOU ARE FACED WITH A MULTIPLE DECISIONS YOU OPEN UP YOURSELF INTO A NEW UNIVERSE.

LETS SAY YOU HAVE THREE PEICES OF CANDY.
-ONE GREEN-
-ONE BLUE-
-ONE RED-
LETS SAY YOU CHOOSE THE RED ONE, WELL IT SAID THAT 2 OTHER UNIVERSES EXSIST IN WHICH YOU CHOOSED THE GREEN OR BLUE OR MAYBE A COMBO OF THE THREE

you see?

Yeah i get the idea behind it, its just that in another dimension there would also be another me who didn't write on this thread, which to me is so slight a difference that it doesn't make any real impact, its still just me.

Thats a rather foolish statment...every decision make has bigger impact it might not show in present but ti will in the future

For Example: You Decide To Wave Hello To A Random Girl She Say Hi and Continues On With her Day..At First Glance This Seems Like A Rather Plain or Minor Event...But If She Got Into A Car And By Some Freak Event Got Into A Fatal Car Crash That Kills Her By YOU Not Waving Hello To Her. Whos To Say You Saved A Life Just By The Simple Gesture Of Waving.

I think we will just have to agree to disagree as i do not believe that all decisions cause bigger impacts, in the universe where i did not write on this thread my life will go on exactly the same as mine does in this multiverse the only difference being is that i didn't take the 30 seconds out of my day to sit here and write on this thread, instead il be scrolling through crunchyroll which ill be doing in a few seconds so at the most it has delayed one of my decisions by a few seconds.

In my opinion, now that I think about it, I agree with this theory completely.
Like aliens. We can't be the only advanced lifeforms out there. And now I'll use aliens as my examples.

It's like; if astronauts here missed over evidence of aliens (I don't know, it's an example...) and some other demension had found it, and possibly another demension had an alien right there. Then, other demensions would split off as to what to do with the alien. They could be friends, enemies, stay longer and study their way of life, or something else. Am I getting this right? Just making sure.

Off topic; I wouldn't know what I would do if I didn't watch one crappy anime video on Youtube that had a comment giving me the link to Crunchyroll.

I believe so^^ I think it's just a matter of opinion, so it can't be physically proven yet. That'd be cool though, entering an alternate dimension.

Think we are pondering way to hard about such things. Leave fiction for fiction, unless you can really say you "know for certain" you are only guessing which is in turn kind of like fiction.

IIRC, Stephen Hawking never said that we would be attacked by aliens. He said that attempting to contact an alien species is dangerous - especially if this alien species is more advanced than us. He reasoned that everytime an advanced civilization on earth discovered a less advanced civilization, Bad Things(tm) generally happened to the less advanced one.
