"God Modding" is in essence when someone’s character has the ability to do practically anything without limits or boundaries. And example is when they simply cannot be harmed by any and all means other RP-ers try.

-It can be killing or injuring a character without the player's express permission.
-It can be when they simply can’t be hit and dodge all attacks or anything for this matter aimed at them.
-It can also be using other characters that other people RP with. In other words, if you do not RP as
Legolas, then you cannot have Legolas say anything, or do anything, without the player's express permission.
-it can also be when they simply cannot die
-it can also be when you are changing or adding powers/abilities to your character in the middle of a fight with another rper so, you can win said fight

The absolute worst is when they make out another character to be what they’re not, just to make their own character seem superior. They make others seem weak, screaming for help, when they’ve made it quite clear about their advantages and strengths. This is called power-play. It’s a strain of God-Modding, but instead of just being irritating, it’s offensive to boot.
This is a prime example of God Modding:

Player A: Punches Player B
Player B: Dodges attack, grabs Player A and throws him. Player A flies at Player B, who warps behind him and slashes Player A in the back.

Gunna toss this into here. But The easiest to avoid this is to have all the characters abilities clearly described. This will help clear up misunderstandings as well as people who try to add abilities to character mid fight which they previously would not have had.

So to add one to this list
- A character's abilities Cannot be changed on the drop of a pin so to say.

saying this to everyone but....

its not like the people use powers they dont have, its more like they dodge everything, making everything hitting the target and making the other person unable to do anything...

Only Reason I'm saying anything is stop farther headache coming from this I've seen the argument between people with claims of godmoding and this is a very common issues that is brought forth. I'm speaking from experience of deal with this sorta thing in the past.

i get it and i have dealt with this before, that is why we have "quotes approval" for every character but if you are so worried about it i will add something to it becuase if you do change your powers in the mid of a fight that if conder "godmodding" becuase your are "power playing" which i have stated above that "power play" is a strand of "godmodding"

lol it happens in every rp group. Godmodding is inevitable but you can stop it. Just pitching an idea. Limits on abilities? becuase a person can have everything but can still be considered not godmodding if its well described. they will use a certain ability for certain people. Ex: i shoot fire ball at you, you use water to block it. I use lightning, you use earth. simple as that

I was going to limit the abilities, but everyone has made a character already and it would be too confusing to do it now
