not believing in something doesnt make it unreal. in fact, while your not believing, Lucifer is waiting.

Yet, believing in something doesn't make it real either.

Exactly what I was thinking. Belief or non-belief/disbelief about something does not prove anything or make anything real or not real.

so thus you cant determine real and not real, thus you cant disprove that they exist either.

I'd ask him for his soul. Maybe it would work, nobody has asked before so it's worth a try.

i would bow before the fallen angel, the unholy one, the morning star himself, Lucifer and ask for nothing. he shall do as he likes and i would be prepared. i pray to Lucifer, and he is my "god". im not joking either. im a member of the church of Lucifer. and with him in front of me, i would be able to die and serve him forever.

I for one sincerely hope that's sarcasm!

Please refrain from sparking a Religion debate

Because a topic concerning a religious entity is totally irreligious.

Can't meet made up beings. But let's imagine for a moment that there are deities, demons, spirits, etc...
The next logical query to the initial question is, by devil are you referring to Mictlantecuhtli, Hades, Angra Mainyu, Lucifer, Mara, etc... basically which one of the dozens of "bigest badest spirit" are you talking about? Devil is a broad generic term used in numerous religions.

Thank God... I'm an Atheist!!!

I'd probably cry. Cause I know I'd go to Hell, didn't think it'd be so soon. :3

I also can't disprove that there is a Flying Spaghetti Monster, and that's why I've decided to convert to Pastafarianism.

My Grandfather always asked this question. He said that there was one correct answer: Greet the devil politely and keep going on your way.

Every interaction between intelligent beings has value. Every time you hold the door for someone and get a smile in return, every time you get into an argument with a friend, and every time you give the bird to someone while driving, you learn a little about communication and the human condition. Lucifer, being the second most intelligent being with the exception of God himself, knows this. The devil will not kill you out of spite if he has something to learn from you. Likewise it is wise to pay attention to the encounter so that you may learn as well.

Walk with confidence, be polite, and mind your own business and you can go anywhere. Thugs want easy targets so confidence will repel them. Being polite keeps you from making enemies. Minding your own business keeps you from becoming a liability to other's plans. The devil is no different. Everyone has an agenda, even the devil. Make sure you don't become a part of the devil's agenda and learn from the encounter. That is the best possible answer.
