Michael Jackson's songs...
Posted 1/19/11
I kept wondering...
why does everyone like Michael Jackson's songs since they had maximum publicity, but no one really does what it suggests?

for example: "Heal the world"
you might hear many people singing it, but who really helps to make a better world?

thank you ♥

I've never really heard anyone sing Michael Jackson's songs. Plenty of people try to make the world a better place, you just have to look. If your perspective is negative, you'll see negative things and feel negative emotions, and be a bit cynical/jaded/pessimistic. Media tends to focus on the bad things, because the good things happening are never quite as interesting to the general public, but that doesn't mean that that good isn't happening. I look to find the beauty, and the good people, and the happiness in the world.

after MJ's death, many people made representation of MJ dances and songs but I don't see these people who adore MJ so much trying to make a better world. I'm not pessimistic, just realistic

Well people usually sing songs, dance to the songs, they dont really do whatever the songs 'asked' them to do.

I wasn't a fan of the soppy "Save The World" stuff....too cliche

I prefer his musical genius in

Smooth Criminal
Billie Jean
Startin' Something
Bad
Thriller
Beat It

they don't care about what the song tells or implied, they just sing whatever they want :/

No one ever really takes in lyrics to the point to use it everyday life. Hell, they'd be hypocrites the way I see it. Then again everyone is a hypocrite....

It's like during prayers. We recite these words like mindless zombies over and over again. But no one ever really sits down, says it slowly and analyzes what they are really saying.

Well, his songs are catchy
