I was wondering what you do when your life is on a near permanent hiatus and everything you want in your life is just within reach. But, on the same token, if things go bad, you will lose everything you already had. If everyday you feel like you are betting your entire future and the damn roulette table never stops to give you a break from the tension.

I am just wondering what I should do... I feel like reaching and never letting go... Or turning away and keeping everything I already have and live a 'what if' existence...

I just want to be happy...

The "what if" part would always keep you guessing if you made the right choice and will always be looming over your head. Also the chance you take if you decide to go for it is a big risk. Personaly I would go for it. If I loose what I had then I loose it. Yes id miss it but myself I believe I would hate myself for not trying when I had the chance. I have been in your situation before (and actualy still am) but I always go for it.

When my life feels like its becoming chaotic I stop what I'm doing and reflect. What can I do to solve this problem? What is making it so chaotic? These are possible questions I ask myself at least three times a year when I'm feeling something is going amiss. And for the "What if" questions you have I suggest looking into it as much as you can and make a decision that you won't regret. Its isn't good to have something you regret in your life.

@Cosmicmenace and treegurl84,

Thanks for your words. Perhaps I should reflect on it. What makes it chaotic is my emotional attachments to what I want. I go from my usual calm and collected Jedi... to a passion driven Sith trying to FORCE my world stay the same regardless of what others think. Which is wrong.

I have taken a step back though. I have concluded it is fear that drives my emotions... And 88 miles an hour? I like the whoosh feel of 95 myself.

Have fun at a casino! Even if you only have a little cash on you, watch others and learn.

If life hits a brick wall, go gamble and who gives a crap if you lose, at least you tried. Same concept with life itself, try things and screw the consequences. You can't get through life without taking risks, fact. Challenging yourself is very important imo.

Well, I would listen to music & eat nice meal.

Relax, take a good bath or just do anything that relaxes you.

You gotta remember. You tried your best. That is all that matters. If it weren't enough, there's always another opportunity.

I used to be like that and I reached a point where I had to let go and realize I couldn't control things anymore. It was a huge relief when I stopped putting pressure on myself. But it has to be your decision, you are the only one who knows what will make you happy. Good luck!

It depends how much willpower you have and good gamblers know when to quit.
