bad on the aspect that pace makers and oxygen machines would no longer work but i see your point
Some utilitarians might perceive this as a good trade-off. I mean those things cost people tax dollars when medical insurance won't cover those who can't afford the service. But then again if they unwittingly gotten themselves so ill, due to their unhealthy lifestyle being advertised and socialized by the corporate food industry giants, as a part of the "modern" mainstream food culture. Then perhaps we're all better off without them altogether.

But wait, why can't just tell the food industry to f*ck off and be more responsible in the first place?

It's a small world, and a giant EMP the size of whatever. It's never been recorded. And it's not all bad when I think about it, why if anything people like yourself won't be able to post stupid suspicion that would take up bandwidth. For all the goods that the Internet had promised, I know I can use less of those around.

Because you're like this individual who's asking these questions not to yourself, when you didn't even put any effort into understanding the science behind it. And that's just you being plain shallow, to the point that you're fringing ignorance.

Isn't this your topic? So shouldn't you have more thoughts and care about your own expression? Your own mannerism is just a buzz-kill and a turnoff, when I'm not here to be served with dimwit the likes of junk foods for the brain.

~Gee, I hope that Solar Storm's just a speculation of NASA. If it's really true, that would be the end of modern technology...

this is an example of how not to influence people.....you are making a BIG mistake by allowing this narcisstic egotistical semi-illiterate
baka to get away with his slams and personal influences...

I suppose the reason is he brown noses the mod...I just betcha they are 'buddies'...ugh.

Kiss my Irish Ass.

Do not worry, I am taking my brain and leaving...

Tattle tales are childish and willful individuals..

Sad as if this continues NO ONE will want to post their own personal views and thoughts here in fear of the bully DomF...

Food for thought and I suggest you digest it...

Somethig like this was on 10'clock live last nigh.A solar wavewould damage national grids all over the world and could lead to another dark age as television and electrical things fail and satilites could be knocked out..The northern lights could stretch as far as the equator,as has happened before but we weren't as dependent on electricity then so it wasn't much of a concern.Apparantly it did damage canada's national grid in more recent times.

They are considering ways to protect devices from this kind of damage too.Thats about all I know on this, better stock up on books and candles then.

ah, fox news...that's all I need to know.

Seriously guys, this is a joke...learn not to be gullible. Although it is true there is increased solar activity nobody can predict that we will have such a storm with the current technology we use. Also, it's not the end of the world...hasn't that 2012 myth run it's course?

I'll believe it when I see it, and I imagine it would light up the night sky beautifully. Though, of course, the aftereffects of such a massive storm would leave the atmosphere without the ability to block harmful rays.

Super Solar Storm don't mean the end of the world
And what of it? Can't do much about it but to speculate, because it's not even here on delivery.

it wouldn't really be the end of the world just the end of most electronic goods that we use, the solar flare would cause a huge storm and fry most of our electrical goods, cars, medical equipment etc.

The main danger AFAIK is that electrical transformers which can not be brought down in time would be destroyed. As these take a year or more to build and are very expensive, it could be a looooooonnnnngggg time until infrastructure is rebuilt. This presumes, of course, that we still have working factories and manufacturing processes, which I am not convinced about yet.

What happens, happens. No one can dictate or prevent what will happen. It'd be more productive to go on living life rather then wait for this to happen, since it may not even harm us.
