He's the Justin Bieber of Glam Rock (previously emo/post-hardcore).
Except Justin Bieber is a way better singer, so this actually makes him, in some respect, worse than Justin Bieber.

His band is okay. Definetly better now than they were in the "Knives and Pens" era, but still nothing special. Very run of the mill Glam Rock, minus the good vocals normally associated with the genre.

Personally, I can't stand them at all from a musician aspect. As from a business / I need to pull in all the 14-17 year old perspective what their doing is pretty awesome for themselves and they'll be able to make some money off of their music.
