This is app is a great improvement over the last one! It works much better on my phone (the screen is about as big as someones palm, the motorola backflip) It plays videos with no pauce something which my computer usually doesn't do.. Plus the quality looks exactly the same as it does on computer! Surprising for a phone with only 156 megabytes of ram XD. I watch GOSICK and it was absolutely perfect, the subs were readable, just as they were on computer unlike last version where they were very blurry as well as the anime >.> . PLUS NO flicker on gosick just slight flicker on lucky star but i think its because of the lower definition.

Crunchyroll for PS3 would be a nice idea. I'll use it more than Netflix, HULU and all that crap.

You can watch CR on your PS3 in 480 p just fine. It isnt perfect some times the frames freezes and you miss a second or two of action or subs but its awesome. Better than watching on computer in 720p imo and it wasn't even on a hd tv XD. They don't need to push for the app that bad. It isn't really necessary... but once they get other stuff done a psp one / ps3 will be good.

mhm. Do you have the latest ps3 update? I have the slim model just got it december and it says that at first for me too. But then eventually the video loads. Fullscreen works too. Sometimes the interface doesn't appear (like once out of 5 hours of anime watching) and i had to refresh the page. I would just go to crunchyroll, open a video and let it load for a while =/ it would be stupid if the older model can't sense the newer one can't have linux or play ps2 games....

Thanks for the new update, it still works great to stream with 3G. I do not know if this has to do with the update, or if it has always been this way, but the subtitles for the shows vary greatly in size. Some are perfect, like Gintama, but the subs for Bleach are barely readable on my Wildfire. Anyway, nothing beats watching anime on the train. Keep it up!

mozychan wrote:What is your source? Like I said, "Android now has over 26% of the (smartphone) market share." That is according to Gartner's 2010 3rd quarter report. Also, Symbian still holds the largest portion of the market, not Android and not iPhone.

La la la la lala la la lalalala la....face plants on keyboard.

Maybe, just maybe, he was referring to the US market (which his figures and statement are correct per Canalys). I know, the sheer horror, someone iin the US, on a largely US based website, commenting on domestic sales, like we're the center of something, uhh, important, or serious, or, well, anyways...we've got snow, some countries don't, so there! Yeah. Right, anyways, even Gartner's own report notes Android will dominate by the end of 2010 the North American marketplace over Symbian. Android and Apple phones still have rather restrict market/country areas for their device sales, and even now or for a time their apps were limited by country.

To add confusion the issue, my limited and confused understanding of market share as used n these reports is that it based only on the current crop of new devices sold. Fresh stock. iow, usually it doesn't count the outstanding phones in use. I guess market share doesn't mean what a layperson would consider and account for total in use market, but instead what is being pumped out at the stores then and now. But like I said, I could be incorrect about the definition of this whole matter. At which I would be ashamed at my ignorance and shutter myself in for the next, oh, day or so.

Worse, these market reports, or at least the reporting of them, seem to mix up smartphones and the overall device or OS share (the smartphone market being a subset of the latter). Gartner, I believe, counts by OS, although I have no clue how they do that given the number of third-party tablet makers which sell Android devices, and they seem to depend a lot of the devices activated (iow, smartphones). Canalys goes by smartphones it seems. All in all, these might exclude tablets like the ipad, or end up in a partial count, depending if you have a wireless plan, while Android tablets are similarly missed.

It should also be noted that previous Gartner projections were really off. Like by 2 years.

Now, seriously, I do have to go shovel snow.

Awesome. I've been using this app a lot and is the main reason I feel like continuing to pay for my membership.

Gotta love the idiots still clinging onto the iPhone. If it even manages to stay alive, it'll be because of Verizon. Google totally took over with Android though, just like they do with everything. Get with the program.

Thanks CR I have used this app when in need of some down time, glad to see its only getting better. CR works well on my Alcatel Tribe 2.1 and my HTC Magic 2.1.

Its safe to say Android grew in app # as well. Its too bad the app count is not officially published that often. Though after the 100K mark it really does not matter... more apps that do the same thing. (IMO)

A sketchy looking source says:
http://mashable.com/2010/12/29/android-apps-double-to-200k-in-2-months-report/
my guess is more like 150k

On a side note I cant what to get a Tegra 3 phone! (Quad core!)

lol, Apple boy thinks he is cool bashing on Android. Hey, as long as you don't read any tech news, you won't know that there are more ANdroid users than apple users. Then it won't hurt as bad. (Besides, the Iphone is soooo shiny!)

Awesome, keep these updates coming.

I want you to know that I'm only paying for the subscription because of this android app. (And when I'm forced to take an hour-long lunch because I've been getting too many hours this really comes in handy.)

For the most part it works very well on my Samsung Intercept running Android 2.1 (with CherryKernel 1.2 and Ubuntdroid 3.0) on Virgin Mobile.
