I dont believe they went over batter life and they sure didnt go over price(don't be surprised) http://kotaku.com/5744485/the-psp-2-revealed http://www.engadget.com/photos/sony-psp2-ngp-eyes-on/#3823342 battery life is a concern of mine Overall I feel impressed with it. A big step indeed. It's also going to include Uncharted it seems. Have trophy support, and of course taking advantage of the 3G a friend list of sort, so with a connection you can still communicate with friends via messages.
Just to say, the NGP having Uncharted already got me sold. PSP2 (NGP) First Look on Gamespot |

Sony seems to be getting it right this time with PSP 2. But let's face it....it's gonna be $50 more than the 3DS, and the battery life will be about the same as the 3DS on it's highest settings.
That said....Sony better have a strong game lineup to go along with this machine. Games make the handheld, and Sony needs to put that first before the system. It's what made Nintendo successful in this area. I also think the PSP 2 will play classic PS2 games too. |

Getting games that can go online multiplayer and are well known such as Call of Duty, Killzone, Uncharted, Lost Planet, and Metal Gear Solid. That being just the begining is what's got me. Also, I couldn't care less about 3D and the only game I see worth it so far for the 3DS it the Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. I'm not much of a fan of portable gaming, but this definitely has my attention. I don't know about it playing PS2 games either, though there could be the possibility. ---- So far, from what I got, it seems that the NGP focus on downloadable games. Given that not everyone can fit the game onto a single stick, they are going to have blank flash cartridges which you can upload a game onto. Hopefully they also sell games already on a cartridge. |

Just to be clear the metal gear solid 4 isnt coming when its released. However, they showed that they hoped to be able to put it on there in the future with the help of cloud. It was essentially a cutscene from the game they were showing running on it. Another big thing i forgot to say I was glad to see was that you can have your friends on it. Trophies too although i dont care too much for them its nice to see them. Also yes the 3ds can do 3d but so can the ps3 and a heck lot better this just buries the 3ds to be honest. |

I was unimpressed with it. They didn't talk about anything interesting that we didn't already know about it and pretty much every game shown was a port of a ps3 game. I'd have to say that it was one of the most underwhelming announcements of a system since I started following gaming news. I think the only real reason they had this conference now instead of E3 was to try and keep people from buying the 3DS.

I really do want this I really do but the problem i have with it, is the fact there is no umd support or legal way to back up your games to play them on system. I have over 30 legally bought psp1 games and well i am not going to buy digital copies of them to play on the psp ngp or psp2. I think it's great that you will be able to play ps2 games along with other things but this not something that really intrigues as of yet. Sony just seems to have a bad habit of screwing over it's customer base even when they are loyal. EDIT also will not be getting a 3ds because of the fact that 3d makes me motion sick and causes me to have migraines but i know peoples reactions "you can turn off the 3d" that defeats the whole purpose of the system >_>

Fortunately the NGP is not going to be download only. You won't be able to use UMDs on the NGP, but you can play PSP games on the NGP, but only the downloadable PSP games on the PlayStation Store. I would say just keep the PSP and wait awhile on the NGP. This is a bit informational on the NGP, it's worth the watch even though there is nothing to get you all googly-eyed with. http://www.gamespot.com/ngp/action/callofduty/video/6287022 |

They will be selling physical copies of games. |
