I would like to see the Crunchyroll app return to my Samsung Smart TV. About one year ago when I first got my new Samsung TV, I was not a paying subscriber to Crunchyroll, but I happened to see that an app was available on the TV for when I would subscribe (I could watch only the first episodes of numerous shows free). Now that I am a paying subscriber, no Crunchyroll app is available from the Samsung Smart TV app choices, and I really would prefer to watch these shows on the larger screen of my TV, from the popcorn-eating comfort of my couch. Either that or for my LG Blu-ray player and its streaming player options.

Apparently, they're still working on the roku 1, if you have to use a composite cable rather than an HDMI cable. Other than that, they've got most of the other ones covered

Windows 10 universal app that way it can be for windows phone and Windows 10... honestly that should not take that long to do as MS even has ways to get the apps ready. Saw the above post and if Funimation beats CR to a Windows app that would suck.

Video streaming apps for the PC often require separate software licensing. Some capabilities might be enabled and paid for on consoles and mobile devices by the maker of the device, but they are not included in a standard Windows install. To provide the same level of features app providers may have to buy expensive licenses for software to make them work on Windows for the PC.

However, I do NOT know if our app would be affected by this. But video and audio decoding is one of the areas which often comes with VERY expensive licensing costs.

Just an example: http://www.zdnet.com/article/a-closer-look-at-the-costs-and-fine-print-of-h-264-licenses/

ok then convert to HTML5 and don't use an APP... fine with that one as well. Relying on flash in todays technology is just crazy. the app for the iPad pro is fantastic and would be nice to see in Win 10 store but like I said HTML5 and no flash is fine as well.

Again, I'm not privy to the app development happening for Crunchyroll. It was just an example.
H264 and AAC decoding capability are provided by Windows out of the box these days. I just wanted to point out that there are implications when it comes to app development that end users aren't always aware of.
Take DRM implementations or certain streaming technologies/player frameworks, which may also come with hefty licensing fees. Even if free implementations exist, they may not always be fitting the needs or deliver appropriate performance.
The only way to avoid having to charge the end user extra for the app would be writing a lot of components from scratch, which takes a lot of time.
