Ever since their flash update you can. I find its more stable to use m.crunchyroll, but because there's no queue, you have to bookmark each series you follow.


Ditto ~ try m.crunchyroll with the mobile browser, see if it works.

Changes I would make to m.crunchyroll version if I could:

(1) Don't autoplay when you go to series page. Instead, when you tap the current episode picture, it automatically starts up in full screen.

(2) Add "queue" to top bar which shows all of your queue shows in a single panel , and when you tap on the series pic, you go to what the queue thinks is the current episode page. If its not the right one, its easy to get to the right one from there. Leave all the other part of the queue to the main website.

(3) Add a "settings" page that lets you set whether m.crunchyroll.com plays clips in 360p or 480p clips ~ or even 720p for systems (like Nook Tablet) that can handle it. Leave that setting completely independent of the main website setting.

With those modifications/additions, I've never bother with downloading a Nook Color app, even if one became available.

I got a NOOK Color for Christmas myself. While I'm able to play videos through the mobile site, the playback is very choppy, to the point of being unwatchable. More like a slideshow, really.

I updated to 1.4.1 almost immediately, so side loading is not available either. Is there something special I'd have to do to get this Flash update? I've gotten a couple notifications about software updates, but when I click that, they don't seem to take.

Yes, after being excited that it worked at all, I noticed how choppy it sometimes is and stopped using it for Crunchyroll. Its the same in the main website when showing in SD. It seems like the better the animation, the choppier it is: Sket Dance is a bit choppy, but Fate Zero during a fight scene is like a 1fps flipbook.

It also gives a "this video is not optimized for mobile" message when starting the video, even in m.crunchyroll, which is odd, since it seems like the m.crunchyroll version would want to use video optimized for mobile.

Anyway, the Android app might be needed for the Nook Color after all.

The thing about "sideloading" was the Nook Tablet ~ because of a mistake in its configuration, the third party market checkbox was left visible for some download errors, so people could trick it into being able to download the app for another market. The Nook Color never had that. What the Nook Color allows is setting up a micro-SD card that will boot into a generic Android device. A lot of people doing that are looking to download the Android Kindle app, but it would also work for the Crunchyroll app.
