tf you watched it in the right order, then it would have made some sense.

Fucking Fruits Basket.
Watched 3 episodes, read some of the manga. HATED IT. It's...ridiculously stupid. It has a great potential to be good, but I just...no. I tried so hard to like it, because all of my friends did, but I couldn't get into it. I threw it aside and watched something different.

Back in high school, was recommended Fruits Basket. (I didn't know/like anime then.)
Despised it, but stuck with it. Got pretty far into the series. But finally gave up.
Result--HATED all things anime for many years, after. Bit prejudice, but that is how much FB made me angry.

For me, not the worse but I second on your part of the opinion. Too Dramatic is the right word, and too frickin depressing, lol. I stopped watching up to i think episode 12 as I can vaguely remember, I viewed the final episode to see what the hell's going on, and wow... (I forgot the names of the characters..) the guy left the girl to tokyo by train. I guess it's predictable from the very beginning of this anime that this will turn out shitty. sorry..
