That's true. The Bounto arc may be filler but it's actually interesting. I hate to admit it but that's what I find with Bleach. It is coming to an end though. Now that Kariya has the ultimate power, this arc is going to finish. What I'm afraid of is that another filler arc will take its place since I haven't been reading the manga yet.

And the Bleach filler actually has an actual storyline, and not partial ones.

i figure this is some sort of test of loyalty. all the fair weather fanns will die off, and the real fans will hibernate/ read the manga online.
man, bleach has gone to filler also? i'm not reallyy into bleach, but i really feel for the people who are. now we will all suffer together! ^^

What is with shounen and fillers

Yu yu Hakusho
DBZ
Naruto
Bleach
Inuyasha
Shaman King
One Piece
and maybe Tenjou Tenge

These shows ruin good/great plots with damnable pacing and filler after filler.

Stick to the brutal fights and killing friends and a shounen would actually become a classic. And for the love of all that is holy, someone tell them to END the shows in the 2nd season, at most. 200+ episodes is not a good thing.

I was watching Planetes episode 6 on youtube and i noticed that the series makes mention to naruto twice. So far, that is the only series ive observed that makes fun of naruto and the whole cliche of ninjas in anime.

To awswer your question, and if you weren't asking a question I'll explain my answer in a variety of ways. First of all you have to ask yourself the big question,... What is a filler? i say their are two possibilities as such: A part of the show you don't like, or a part of the show you enjoy or understand it's true meaning. I beleive fillers have a distinct meaning. Which could be described as a third option. Which is that fillers even out the amount of show, they accualy show. Also know as the quantum flux, or Yin-Yang theory. To explain for you lay-man folk, it's like evening out the good or evil so to speak. If their are no fillers the show would quickly end after 200 or so episodes, after finishing the main story of the manga. ost people don't know but Ten-Ten vs. Temari was a filler and various other episodes are also fillers. Also this could mean adding more detail of the story. Also some highly regarded scientists think that if "Naruto" ends the whole world as we know it will end.

Just messing with you guys, "lol".

1- My definition of a filler is a episode that is not based on the manga, usualy, they are superficial and do not contribute to the plot of the anime. yes, they caan be entertaining (like the temari, tenten fight), but after a while, you want to get back to serious stuff with real plot, not the stupid goofy mini plots naruto has degraded to. also, when there are fillers go for to long, the characters real personality, (and the type of series it is) often gets lost in the process, and everyyone end up hating the series and/ or the characters. not to mention that fillers make people take a series much less seriously. Furthermore, fillers that are put in a bad place can be disastrous, such as the tea arc that was arbitrarily stuck between itachi beating up sasuke and sasuke leaving, completely ruined sasukes already shaky rep, and made his stay in the hospital after that seem strange, because why would he stay in the hospital and get all worked up because of the mild wounds he got in the country of tea?

on offens intended...

Your definition would fall under understanding the true meaning of fillers, I should have also put of what you think a filler is to be more precise, and yeah Itachi did kind of destroy Sasukes "rep", and to answer your question,... err sorry i ran out of ideas.

I was going to say something scathing, but I'll say this instead:
Watch out Abby, you're breaking into the conspiracy. Tall men with white on white ties are going to send you to the ramen inflated depths. A young possessed ninja will go bump in the night. Adult books will randomly have pictures of murdered family members with messed up contact lenses stamped on their covers. I really don't know how

yep, it's all true, except for that part where I say it's true.
