"The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is a classic anime that we all enjoy watching! Today we are launching Season 2 to premium members* while free users will enjoy 4 episodes/week. We are also having a writing contest to win one of the following awesome prizes. Grand Prize: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Anime Legends DVDs 2nd & 3rd Runner Ups: The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Volume 1 Kyon Bundle DVD & CDs" Wait, hold up a sec. Are we talking about the original Anime Legends release that features just the original 14 episodes, or are we talking about the Second Season Box Set that has all 28 episodes? This just dawned on me 'coz I've stumbled across a couple of places online which call the Second Season an Anime Legends release. |

Sounds like a good contest, I will probably enter. As for the EE haters,
Spoiler Alert! Click to show or hide while I agree that, when originally broadcast, it was likely annoying, I never minded it, since I watched it after it was released and could watch them all in a row. Waiting for two months to get past it would have tried my patience I guess, but if you go in fresh and can marathon it or watch it over a few days, it is a daring and intriguing bit of animation. The subtle differences between the days and the attention to detail in the animation, such as clothing/swimsuit variety, subtle character changes, increased tension and desperation, on the part of Kyon in particular, and the final payoff, with the implications it has on the psyche of the titular neo-goddess, are all well thought out and very interesting. @AmuCat: I absolutely love your avatar!!!! Wonderful image!!! |

Artfan wrote: Obviously, Endless Eight is less about plot than it is about the animation itself. If you are waiting for something new to pop up in the storyline, you have a long way to wait. If, however, enjoying the varying nuances of the animation sounds fun to you, do not shun the Endless Eight! Nobody denies how visually appealing this anime is. But how many people really just pick up anime purely for looks? People want a good story with their anime. A story that is not static and moves a long. When characters in manga say that something happened 15,000 times, we take it at face value and believe the fantasy. We don't need episodes to actually show it 15,000 times or in this case, 8 times. Endless 8 asked too much of it's viewers, and the viewers' complaints were valid. I can look at a pretty girl for a long time, but if that girl does the same thing every single day without change, then that girl is just boring. |

Worst season, yet, it was still missing. Since in the movie of The Dissapearance of Haruhi Suzumiya, you have Season 2 parts despite its endless 8.

There must surely be more subscribers in the UK and Australia and such than all of Africa and the Middle East combined. As someone else said earlier, we pay the same subscription fees, why do we always get less? Should we be directing complaints at our local anime distributors for denying you streaming rights, or at the Japanese companies (or both)? |

Licensing restrictions are generally what's keeping those areas from getting these series. Crunchyroll is doing what they can to make shows available to all users around the world, but you guys have different companies than we have over here, and some companies just aren't willing to cave in for it. If you want to complain, I'd say direct them at your anime distributors.

I believe I somewhat enjoyed or at least wasn't too annoyed by endless eight, but that was a while back so I may just be fooling myself. anyway thanks for finally getting s2 on the site, its still a great season nonetheless.
