Yeah, I'd love to be in a relationship, but I can't gather the courage to ask anyone anymore, the one time i did, she rejected me in the worst possible way, she refused to even be my friend anymore, a complete cut off, which hurt me more than anything else could. so, I've pretty much adopted the idea, that I'd much rather be their friend, and mean something to them, than to be nothing to them at all. Anyone else have that problem?

They both have their advantages, and opposite.
It's great being single, it gives you freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want it.
But it sucks to not have someone you love around too...

Love is an unreasonable thing. It causes similar symptoms to mental illnesses, such as Manic/Depressive Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. So it seems best to not feel so bad if you don't have a partner, but it is true that we all need someone, because we are biologically set up that way. And no relationship will ever be perfect. You can't expect some other person in your life to have all the traits you might want them to, nor can they expect that from anyone, also. If you are in a relationship where there is no respect, then it is doomed to failure, especially if all two people care to do with each other is have sex.

There are people out there who really shouldn't be in relationships. Anyone who never learned to love their self has no business being in love. They need to seek help, or just remain single and masturbate for the rest of their fucking lives like the sad losers they are. In fact, fuck those people. No one except a shrink has any time to listen to their whining and delusions.

A person that is a loner by nature might remain single for their entire life, but it doesn't mean they can't find something that makes them happy. Truthfully, that's what you really need is your own interests and goals, not just trying to get your rocks off with love. A person is more attractive if they get out there and do something constructive with their time, anyways.

Pros and Cons:

Relationship:

Company
Sex
A comfy chest to sleep on
Holding hands going shopping and his cute annoyed face coz he doesn't like shopping

Single:

Eye up anyone you want
Kiss freely
No arguments or drama (not that I had much in relationship anyway)
Free of over-protectiveness

Relationship is not necessarily better.
But I feel everyone needs love.

Ahh personally i think it depends on the timing. Like right now I like being single just because I'm heading off to college soon, so there's really no point in a relationship right now. Plus I like the feeling of not being tied down to anyone at the moment =]

You know i thought this too..
I have been going to college for 2 years and was never even looking for someone. Then somehow out of nowhere she appears. Next thing i know she has already moved herself into my life. Can't picture myself without her now!
So, sure it might make life more complicated, but i have never been happier.

Lols congrats! It's really sweet and cute that you were so caught off-guard by your gf.
It's just that I come from a really traditional chinese family and everyone is already pressuring me on getting married and stuff even though I'm barely 18 and haven't even started college. =.= So, I want to be able to finish college, find a stable job, and support myself instead of depending on a guy to do that for me before jumping into anything. Love or any strong emotion with someone right now will only be a distraction that I can't afford.

for all the girls out there.. let me tell you guys something, 89% of guys going for a girl or asking them out, they will sweet talk and nice and stuff... once you become his girlfriend, he'll start changing into another person... maybe you guys will disagree with me, not sure if it a asian thing but i see alot and i use to be one of those in highschool

That's so true and basically the story of my parents. One of the reasons why I don't take what guys say when they compliment or flirt with me seriously. And just adding to this. Girls, if you really want to know whether a guy truly loves you or not, really look at their actions, not words. Any guy can go out and buy flowers or chocolate, but if they brought you your favorite kind or do something that's required creativity and includes something personal between you, that's different. It's these simple details that will tell you if you truly meant something to him.

But at the same time, guys have been making a hobby of attracting and flirting with girls *coughs* extremely evident on CR *coughs*. So this way of knowing for sure may not be dependable anymore.

Want to go out somewhere nice? ;D

On-topic:
Being single is great.
When I had that whiny bitch on my back, she always asks me for something crappy that I can't even manage my time with either Home or Work. And when she calls me, she'll just get mad at me for not answering her calls.
No shit, sherlock. I'm at work that time. How can I answer your calls when people from AT&T's calling me?

Moving on, it's also expensive. Why do girls ask for so much stuff?

Girls ask for so much stuff, really? God, I'd love to be in that relationship where someone is buying me shit all of the time. I certainly wouldn't be asking left and right, though.

I'd love to be in an awesome relationship. But right now, I don't know that I'm going to go for that. In any case I'll probably go for a girl in my next relationship.
