I'm pretty sure I have social anxiety (need to get that checked) or at least I just have a problem with opening up and trusting anyone. Based on the fact that I've sabotaged every "relationship" I've been in.

That said, it hurts not being able to confide in someone. I can only say that there is more to gain from being in a relationship than not. It's a responsibility to care for someone else. But it's a great feeling to know that there's someone who trusts you implicitly and has no problem asking you for any help. It's reassuring and means so much more than words can describe it.

"Search your feelings, you know it to be true."

I stay single since I move every 4-6 months or so..everytime I date someone it sucks in the end. I enjoy the time I can with people I like and tell them I will probably never talk to them ever after unless I go back. I tend to forget people pretty easily, I'm trying to fix that.

Nothing beats having someone around that cares deeply about you.

But.... it's hard to find someone that gives as much as they demand in return.

I'm not going to answer because I don't have enough experience yet to make an accurate response (personally because for everyone else it's different) but this topic is just begging for all the bitter people who had a bad relationship or two (or zero?) to generalize what love is instead of recognizing the factors that made their relationships terrible. Some people prefer to remain single and that's totally cool but they don't write vague and bitter essays about their stance. I mean, it sucks that many people have shitty relationships but perhaps the continuation of bad relationships would allow one to assume perhaps it is something about themselves rather than the nature of love itself that is at flaw. Of course, people just have really bad luck sometimes or don't know how to handle such a mature thing as a relationship.

Married!! Definitely the best decision I ever made. I've been to my wife for 24 years. We do a lot together, martial arts, hiking, dancing etc, yet we have our individual pursuits. If you fall in true love, you'll know it. I knew it when all other women became less than her. There is non other...

I just broke up with my gf of 3 years (like just got back from her house). The relationship had gone south and she just wasn't what I was looking for anymore. Better to be in a relationship with someone who's good for you then to be single. Better to be single than to be with someone who isn't good for you.

Being in a relationship:
With the right person can help you grow, If you both motivate each other, love each other. Relationships are beautiful when each person strives to be a better person for the other person without having selfish motives. Relationships have its pros and cons, compromise, and tolerance is also required, you most likely will not have a "fairy tale" relationship. Great relationships go hand in hand with great friendships, but they are also a responsibility. Think of it as a team, if you are ready for one, Two people can acomplish alot more when working together.

Being single:
Can also help you grow, Being able to devote time to yourself, prepare yourself. and learn who you are with out the distraction of someone else. Take the time being single to look inside and really explore YOU as a person. Relationships are not free, they require time and dedication. If you spend your time being single desperatly looking for a relationship to be in, chances are you should reevaluate why you want one or if you are ready for one. If you want a relationship to meet your needs, Try to be content and meet your own needs, before you put the burden of expecting someone else to.

Great video.

I think it depends on the person. Some people like the solitude, after all.
