If possible could we please have this show available at the 720p resolution?

I'm thoroughly enjoying the show I'd just like to see it in a higher resolution if possible.

Thank you.

I'm not a premium member, but I'd like to see it in higher resolution. The 480p is as good as it gets compared with other anime streaming sites, so I'm -happily- stuck with the current one.

It might not be aired in 720p, so a 720p upscale might be next to useless

Really?! In this day and age who wouldn't put a show in the highest resolution possible? I could understand if they didn't think it would do very well but they obviously thought it would do fairly decent since it is slated for 24 episodes. Normal shows these days only go for 12-13 which drives me nuts. Don't get me wrong there are many good short run shows out there but generally there isn't enough time to flesh out all of the juicy details.

Maybe they are going for the grainy effect like they did with Pandora Hearts to give it a certain feel.

There are only 12 ep of this show and the publisher usually has a contract with CR. I would say this is the quality it is show on TV since it is a simulcast.

Asking now is a little too late

I played a fansub version that said that it was 720p next to a Cruncyroll version and you can tell a difference in video quality.

Its probably a business move from gosick to try and get people to buy the HD versions on dvd and blu ray when it comes out. Little do they know illegal fansubbers have the HD version up.

These two sources state that it is slated for 24 episodes. I'm not sure why CR lists it as 12 episodes at the bottom of their info page: http://www.crunchyroll.com/gosick

CR has it listed as 24 now, and Amazon.jp has release information for 12 BluRay releases:
http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/B004JLO5Y8/syobocal0e-22/ref=nosim
At 2 episodes per disk, that makes 24! No word on the broadcast schedule for 13-24, or even episode 12 at this point. Episode 11 is on 4/1 with a "special episode" this week that it appears won't be simulcast on CR.

2 episodes per disc?! I thought what Bandai's 4-episode per disc was bad enough, they're really trying to milk this one... I see it comes with a few extras but man at 6,837 Yen per volume (about 85 US Dollars)...I guess I'm not as much of an otaku as I thought, that price is outrageous! I'm all for supporting the industry but there is a point where I gotta say "no more." Hopefully if/when it is released in the US they'll be more reasonable. Probably won't have much if any of the extras but it'll be worth it just to have the show at a fair price.

Darn their special episodes that do not get simulcast...

I know, it seems like highway robbery, but it seems pretty common now to have only two eps per disk. I know that is how Zakuro originally came out in Japan, too. (Though one of the disks had three eps because there are 13...) These might be "Limited editions" too. They may come out with a box set with 4 eps per disk or more later. (I know that my FMP! BluRays have a ton of eps per disk!)

if there's a second season, it would be great if it was in 720!

480p is decent enough for me-- maybe I'm just easily satisfied. Nonetheless, if 720p is available (as it seems to be for many current series), then indeed why not have it! :-) I assume this is a result of business negotiations between the powers that be, as someone else mentioned earlier. I'd be rather suprised, though, if this (i.e. a jump from 480p to 720p) would be sufficient reason to induce significant purchases of the DVD or Blu-Ray.
