^ well for me, it's ok as long as you're not a burden to anyone; you're not jobless and you're not lazy. It is always good to live with your loving parents and siblings, we're not immortal, we will die soon. Why not stay and live with your loveones longer?

I agree with you yesa. Heya! I miss ya. was just gonna GB you. Anyway, my parents live in a two bedroom house now so it is unwise for all of us to go live there. I have a total of of 12 siblings (it includes me) I have a two bedroom apartment which I live alone in cause I tend to be a loner. But my two brothers who own their own houses are letting some of my siblings live there free of rent but needs to help with electricity and gas bill.
Two of youngest sibling are living with my parents. They are 18 and 21. They don't pay anything. They just work and pay for what they want and use. So, I guess they pay for the food bill.

Actually, I wouldn't mind living with my parents and siblings. But since I live across town from where everyone works and goes to school. . .I end up alone. LOL But then again, I like it that way too. I love space and quietness. =P

at the age of 30 u either home w/ ur parents because of financial problems, health problems, or ur handling ur parents' health problems. other than that u should be independently contributing urself to society. i think ur parents would be proud to see their child being able to support him or herself or even a family. it shows that the parents have certainly did their duty and its ur turn to take command

Isn't it up to each family to decide what works for them? When I was 30 I was married and expecting my first child, and definitely wouldn't have wanted to live with my parents.

If one of my sons still wants to live with me when he is 30 he will be welcome, but I would worry about him. Why is that what he wants? Why hasn't he got a girlfriend/wife to live with, is he happy, etc etc.

The leech who dudau described is disgusting and deserved to be kicked out, but that is an extreme case. I'm sure most people in their 30s who live with their parents aren't ripping them off like that.

well ... for me its ok .. especially when nobody is there to take care of my parents. They took care of me and that is the best time to repay their unconditional love. But of course , there are some responsiblity involved like doing chores and sharing expenses in the house. One should not be a burden ...

Okay....So I am going to answer the forum topic.........

With the rising price of housing now adays, it's becoming more common for children to stay with their parents until later in life. My husband didn't move out of his parent's house until a couple of months ago when we were finally able to get our own place, and he's 30. If it works for the family, then it really shouldn't matter how old you are....Your family for Goddess' sake!

As for the guy that this post originally started about.....if you have enough to make it on your own...you should. That is just my humble opinion.

Perhaps, you're now moving to your own place. 10 years ago of 30 is your age.

what I mean was this guy was taking his parents for granted, I think he was a lawyer or something, he knows the rule (this happens in France) under the rule no.??? parents were under an obligation can not kick their children out of their house.
he earns lots of money, he can afford a comfortable life without his parents but because he's lazy & stingy he want to use all free service from home. It's not because he has financial problem or he love his parents so much that he doesn't want to part with them. At the end, he file a lawsuit against his parents & he won. This has been making into a film "Tanguy". the detail of this story might not be exact but almost. so don't challenge me. I am just telling what I learn.
