Shin initially likes a dance professor at his university, but this all changes when he meets Lee Kyu Won.

Lee Kyu Won is a bright and outgoing student who was born into a prestigious family and is majoring in traditional Korean instruments, especially the gayageum. Kyu Won's grandfather, Lee Dong Gun, is one of the top 3 traditional musicians of his age, and his biggest wish is to have his grand-daughter trained to become a traditional music prodigy in 10 years' time. Trying to live up to her grandfather's expectations, Kyu Won immerses herself in training and becomes a university student who knows nothing besides traditional music. MBC changes “Festival” title to “You’re Into Me”

MBC’s upcoming drama, “Festival“, which features CNBLUE’s Yonghwa and actress Park Shin Hye, has announced that they will be changing their title to “You’re Into Me.”

According to producers, MBC held a drama name contest on March 30th through April 10th. The contest received over 400 diverse entries from netizens, and the final name chosen was “You’re Into Me.”

A representative of JS Pictures stated, “There were a lot of innovative and fun title ideas, but we felt that the title we chose best fit with the plot of the drama. As the plot revolves around the dreams and passions of young students attending an arts college, we believe this title is the best in sketching out the theme of the plot.”

MBC’s upcoming melodrama will begin airing on June 29th.

Heartstrings : a Dream High 2.0 ?

The PD and production team should be smart enough, not make Heartstrings to be considered as an imitator of Dream High.

Yes, they both has similarity, a musical themed drama, casting young popular actor and actress to play teenagers pursuing their dream at an arts college and there will be dancing and singing too.

But Heartstrings steps further, the arts college added acting and literature and seems the students are not prepared to be a superstar as we have seen on Dream High.

Heartstrings also filled with love story, friendship and the life of young generation, it’s dubbed as a mellow campus drama.

For You’re Beautiful fans who have regret because Park Shin Hye didn’t end up with Jung Yong Hwa, then you should be happy , they will be a couple in Heartstrings.

Jung Yong Hwa plays Lee Shin, a university student majoring in modern music. He is the vocalist of a band, has good looks and strong passion for music. But also a cold person who doesn’t interested in non-music thingy.

He had a crush on Jung Yoon Soo, a dance professor in his university (played be So Yi Hyun). But his feeling changed after he met Lee Kyu Won (played by Park Shin Hye), arts student who majoring in Korean traditional music.

With Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa lead the cast, Heartstrings also supported by So Yi Hyun ( Gloria, Assorted Gems), Song Chang Ui (Yi San, Cinderella Man) and Woo Ri (Crime Squad).

Song Chang Ui plays Kim Suk Hyun, a man who loved by Kyu Won before Kyu Won falls to Lee Shin.

Meanwhile 20-year-old Woo Ri plays Han Hee Joo, who had a crush on Lee Shin since high school and then becomes Kyu Won’s rival.

As the drama just began its shooting last week, some couple of stills came out. Enjoy !

Heartstrings airs June 29, replacing The Greatest Love.

Jung Yong-hwa goes from nice guy to rude hero

Jung Yong-hwa became known for playing the nice guy in You’re Beautiful, where he fell for the girl, helped her as much as he could, and then had to watch her fall for his (haughty, cold-seeming) best buddy. For his first leading role, in the upcoming MBC musical-themed drama You’ve Fallen For Me, he sheds his gentle “Shin-woo hyung” image to play the cocky lead vocalist of a band of pretty boys.

Jung said, “When I first got the script, I thought that [the character] Lee Shin was extremely uptight and indifferent, but as I get more familiar with the character, I see that Lee Shin is just not interested in things outside of music and therefore just seems cold. When you see what he’s like on the inside, he’s got a pretty warm and attentive side too, and he’s an appealing character.”

The youth melodrama series (which suggests it’s not a rom-com) follows Best Love and premieres on June 29.
