Too many kids posting philosophy and ideologies.. sorry. I mean, LOL, kids.

I'm 24 and I'm still quite childish at times. I think there's a lot more to being an adult than a frame of mind.

As someone said above - circumstances can make you mature. My mum was thrown out at 15 so I guess she "hardened" up quickly.. but that doesn't mean she doesn't display characteristics of a little kid sometimes.

There is no definite answer; but I'd say kids help. Even younger parents, they may start out naive and useless - but they're going to have to get the hang of it and nothing would make you grow up more than a child who is growing even faster.

When they stop being ignorant, selfish, annoying, and obsessed about sex.

And when they start being mature, intelligent, honest, selfless (to some extent), and has a trash can full of hustlers.

How about when they're kicked out of the house? My mother kicked me out when I was 21, because I was hanging out with gay and lesbian socialists, and was planning on attending a gay rights protest in D.C. I was homeless for a month (a friend let me crash), and I matured real fast.

Sometimes the choice of being an adult is decided by circumstances.

Lol what's wrong with gay and lesbian socialists. Probably some of the nicest people you will ever meet honestly. The unwarrented fear in our nation is truly ammusing. But I understand what you mean, when I was growing up my older brother got kicked out at 16 and he had to become independent very early on.

I call that being an adult, standing up for something that you believe is wrong has never been a bad thing.
