I believe if someone wants happiness they need to work for it and made sacrifices to achieve that end. A soul mate? Fate, destiny, soul mates-- whatever name you give it that is still saying it has been decided for you. I refuse to believe the love of my life was chosen for me by some God or sort of volume of the universe considered undeniable and unchangeable. Death-- that is certain, as is your birth. Everything inbetween you get to choose.

I personally don't care if I ever find a soul mate.
Why? Because I love my ideals. These ideals give me purpose, to better myself and the people I come in contact with.
To an idealist, an Aquarius idealist, the world is more important then an uncertain love. Until I have them spill themselves and tell me everything, giving themselves to me body and soul-- I'll continue to focus on the world solely.

Everyone wants to be happy, whether or not they accept that is dependent on the individual.

I agree, except for the second paragraph. I think that it's a nice idea to find someone to love, who loves you back completely, accepts you as you are, and helps to make you happy. Love is lovely.

Soul mates aren't real to me like they were when I was more religious and superstitious. I think love is something you work for, even if part of it happens naturally, it isn't fate. It can seem that way, but one thing leads to another.

I don't believe in fate, destiny, or a lack of free will.

LOL not at all, what a preposterous idea. Its a bit egocentric as a population to think that we are special enough that the universe would be mindful enough to assign us a life-long destined partner.

Maybe!! But since there's a billion people in the world, ( trust me, that's alot ) there's a very low chance of finding your soul mate. Atleast, that's what I think!
