Its okay if you join a non dating site forum and you find a friend and you eventually date,

but joining a non dating site just to find a date isnt the reason why you should join.

if your looking for site to date then just join one.

I feel like I've wrote in these types of threads 100 times.
Round 101, let's go.

Ok my opinion:

Nothing wrong with MEETING someone over the internet. But it's not a real relationship until you meet up in person. Then it becomes a long distance relationship, and quite frankly I have nothing against that but pure respect. From what I'm aware of, having a long distance relationship is fucking hard! More harder than being married!

As for the people on Crunchyroll who claim they're boyfriend and girlfriend. I have nothing against them as well IF they're at a certain age. Some of--most of these users are 10-15 year olds. Some people who are at that age aren't old enough to date. There's complications due to their parents, maybe lack of self-esteem or they're attracted to the same sex and can't deal with the real life at the moment. What ever it may be, if you're at that age and have someone online, who cares? It's a good way to gain experience. It's like them playing house. Leave them alone. Let them be, you can be hurt and fall for someone online. It's a good way for them to grasp what dating and dealing with someone is like. A good practice run never hurts anyone. Eventually they'll grow out of the online dating scene and go out with someone in real life. Maybe even if they've dated online for a long time, and are old enough to meet in real life, can take it to a long distance relationship.

But if you're 32, pretend that you're 21, find chicks on internet sites to e-date them for a few weeks and move onto the next user. I have absolutely no respect for you =___=;
Get a fucking life...

yeah that can happen lot of ppl can lie online that why its safer to date in real life not unless you know the person and know 100% who the other person is online and know its not some creepy old guy lieing to you. Then all means do as you pleas just be safe about it

Blah, to me dating online makes it sound like your relationships are confined to the computer only.

It's fine to meet someone online then to arrange a physical date, and to confirm they are who they claim with webcam beforehand (photos are bs sometimes anyways).

My photos of myself are all real and I have my facebook account linked. I can't imagine that I would go on a webcam for most people, because of all of the weirdos and perverts.

Anyway, I have nothing at all against online dating and crunchyroll dating.

How I feel is mostly summed up in what Kippu said:

I don't care but if all the dating is done by computer then that isn't call a good couple plus if your here to get a date your on the wrong site because we're all strangers.

It's fine with me. I've done it before, although I didn't take it seriously.. it annoys me sometimes how they're so damn serious, it's not like we're ever gonna meet up irl anyways o.O

but yeah, like I said, it's fine, just don't overdo it. I worry about those 7-12 year olds lying about their age, most of all. They trust people from the Internet too much, I know I did before.

Borderline: BE CAREFUL.

In so far as CR brings together people with similar interests I don't see a problem with it. Problems definitely will arise if the two don't meet in person, regardless of how strongly they feel for each other. That was a hard lesson to learn about 10 to 12 years ago for me. :)

I also STRONGLY recommend that you get photos of each other. I used an online dating website for awhile and one of the women who messaged me had no photo on her profile. I figured small town, privacy issues, whatever... I'd give her a chance. Her profile said that she was athletic and she talked so much about physical activities that she liked to do. By now you've guessed that the reality was n o t h i n g like the persona that she was portraying from the dating site.

Just be careful, meet in a public place the first time that you meet (regardless of how much you two may feel for each other), and try to be realistic. Good luck. :-)
