My grandma (who's turning 80 this year) looks like she's still 50.

I'll age when I age, the people that age slowly are just naturally gifted. I don't see the problem. You are born, live in this world, and then die. It isn't complicated as far as I know. People are different and people will always have advantages over one another.

I don't feel any particular resentment or jealousy towards people that don't age, or those that do. However I am cynical about their methods.

Mmm.... I think that it comes from natural beauty and genetics, or cosmetic surgery..

Ageless eh?

Hirohiko Araki anyone?

Over 50 years and still hasn't aged since he got to his mid 20's
I swear, his manga must be based on his real life and he's a stand user or a Hamon practicer.

Celebrities have money, money for shitloads of plastic surgery. That's the difference.

With beauty comes jealousy, envy and hatred and you find out that a true friend is quite rare and boys only want you for one thing, sex and arm candy. They also become extremely needy and annoying in a relationship. I really liked this guy who was insecure in his looks, I just loved his funny personality but he didn't believe me when I said I liked him and accused me of messing him about because he thought a girl "like me" whatever the hell that was supposed to mean could never like a guy "like him" whatever that meant. That was so painful. Didn't talk after that. So being pretty isn't all it seems ok. Just be confident and someone just for you will come along, but you have to go and find them. Go out an enjoy yourself and your confidence will boost.

It works for some people, for others they look the same for decades then BAM they hit a wall one year then they look ancient. Take Chevy Chase for instance he's looked the exact same for so many years then before you know it his hair's white, he's installed a front porch, and is barely recognizable if it wasn't for his voice.

Just from my years there were actors like George Burns, Rodney Dangerfield and so on who already looked old in my childhood but didn't seem to age at all from my single digits to they day they passed away. Look at Rodney for example. Who has seen Easy Money and can say he's changed all that much?

Betty White looks pretty much the same from her stint on Golden Girls.
