The earthquake has been upgraded to an 8.9. http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsww/Quakes/usc0001xgp.php Watching the tsunami destruction was just devastating. It's chilling to think about how destructive water can be. Now there's a tsunami warning in Hawaii too. My prayers go out to everyone affected by this natural disaster.

Dang. I just heard about it and its just shocking how something so devastating happens so fast and out of nowhere. The tsunami damage seems like its worse than the quake itself. I'm sure that the Japanese and U.S. governments will do everything they can to help but my hopes and prayers go out to all those affected by this disaster.

This is morning here in where i live, a sunny spring morning!
I woke up an hour ago.
And just before I woke up I was dreaming about... lying under the sun on a beach! By the time it came closer to go back, the waters became stressful, I was initially lying right near the water but had to get higher on the sand side so waters witth each wave would not cover me..
And then before going out I wanted to take a swim. But the waters became even more stressful! The waves were about up to 3 meters high and it was really dangerous to go into the water. So I started to gathering all my stuff and coming out..
Then I woke up, went to CR for some news (as I usually do) and saw this.

I totally support this saying!!!

And absolutely seriousely, THERE IS NO A SINGLE ANIME ABOUT SERIOUSELY HAPPY PEACEFUL LIFE!
I mean totally no fights, no drama, absolutely no stupid jokes or any other form of stupidity/unseriousness.
Is there at least ONE? But there are HUNDREDS of just Gundam series where fight and killing is in EACH episode.

There is a saying in my country and I think it's taken from Bible: "As you sow, so shall you reap".

There has been what 8+ major earthquakes in the 2010-2011 year and 2011 is just beginning. Makes me think 2012 has an amazing amount of data backing the rumors up. It seems they are just getting more powerful also. I hope all earthquake victims are able to bounce back. I know this destroys many families and I wish them the best of luck dealing with this tragedy.

Reports say a 10 meter wave hit the port at Sendai.
Refineries along the coast are burning.
Nuclear plants are offline ~ 4 million w/o power in Tokyo area.

CNN has clips online: http://www.cnn.com/video/
Sky has a good map showing predicted tsunami travel times across the Pacific: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Video-Japan-Earthquake-Tokyo-Tsunami-Fears-After-89-Magnitude-Quake-Rocks-Buildings-In-Capital/Article/201103215950160?lpos=World_News_First_World_News_Article_Teaser_Region_0&lid=ARTICLE_15950160_Video%3A_Japan_Earthquake%3A_Tokyo_Tsunami_Fears_After_8.9_Magnitude_Quake_Rocks_Buildings_In_Capital

Before everyone here gets on their high horse to flame this guy, let me take a moment to say that if this earthquake had hit some 3rd world country, most of you wouldn't give a shit.

Don't get me wrong, I certainly hope the damage was kept to a minimum and they have a fast recovery, but I'm not so up myself that a joke would get me angry. In truth, when I read this, I laughed. I also laughed at the jokes about the floods in Australia, that were killing my own countrymen. It's not because I'm heartless (I did what I could to contribute to Queensland's recovery), it's because I don't like to have double standards.

Edit to add this:

Don't be swayed by silly superstition and paranoid propaganda There aren't more earthquakes than normal. Every year there are dozens of major earthquakes all around the Ring of Fire (this is the edges of the tectonic plates surrounding the Pacific Plate, as they grind against each other Earthquakes occur). Sometimes these quakes hit populated regions. Most of the time they do not. Rest assured that we are not seeing a huge increase of quakes preluding to some apocolyptic doomsday or end of the world.
