im sorry. but some of us have friends and family members that are being directly affected by whats happening. so ill get on my high horse and spit fire at anyone who wants to make this a joke, if thats ok with you speekma? if not i could care less dnt try to rationalize his statements by defending it as mere comedy, every thing you say affects those around you and the sign of a truly compassionate person is to know when to keep your twisted opinions to yourself. im glad you could laugh at the deaths of your own countrymen but for me its a little bit different.. i cant even contact my family members right now.

I really hope that the casualties will be kept to a minimum and our dear Japanese friends will get out of this in good enough shape

I hope there aren't many fatalities. Although this earthquake seems to be quite severe.

Anyways, yeah, pray for everyone in Japan~ <3

Well, they DID feel it in Beijing - but you're at ~2000 miles from the center vs. ~1300 for Beijing.
In about 4 hours, you're going to get some part of that tsunami wave.
Stay safe.

Been watching the news for a while now, the images of Sendai being hit by tsunami waves were particularly impressive (not to mention terrifying), my prayers are with them.

It sounds like the most they'll do is clear the beaches.

Edit:
Looks like Oregon & Northern Cal. have a "warning"; the rest of the coast "advisory":

Well, California needs a warning no matter what. Too many idiots with president masks and a surfboard itching to be defiant.
