This disaster in Japan is really sad... I'll miss any anime and manga that can't go on but human lives are more important. I hope they get help as soon as possible and they're able to pull their lives back together and not too many more die. They're a pretty prepared country but you can only be prepared for so much when it comes to nature. Best of luck and rest in peace.

My heart goes out to all of Japan. Especially, to the people who have lost loved ones. ~

Lost of Simulcast is the least of my worries. Hey shinji, hope we can set up some kind of fund relief for them......

My first thought when I heard the terrible news was "oh well.. there goes tonight's Gosick".
My second thought was "I hope no manga/anime writers/artists died" My third thought went to the people of Japan. |

I agree....human lives are more valuable than simulcasts from Japan.
It is very devastating, hundreds of lives have already been lost, with an unknown amount of people missing. Including a passenger train! Let's all pray for the country of Japan. |

Okay - if you have friends or family in the area that you haven't been able to contact, Google has set up a search service. The link in both English and in Japanese. I found this while watching posted video of the disaster at the NY Times website. I'm posting a link here for people who need to find family or friends, or have already heard from family and friends that might be listed among the missing and can provide information about their status. The links are about 2/3rd of the way down the page. To those that might need to use this, I sincerely hope your loved ones are safe and accounted for:
http://thelede.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/03/11/video-of-the-earthquake-and-tsunami-in-japan/?ref=global As far as the anime simulcasts are concerned, this wasn't even on my radar this morning. Considering what's happened (and is still happening as the aftershocks hit and as the tally in lives and infrastructure damage begins to mount, I could care less whether or not I have to wait a while to watch the shows I've been following. CR will eventually show them. Right now, there are much bigger things to worry about. Here is information regarding the Red Cross in Japan and the current situation, as well as contact numbers for finding people, including a direct link to Google's People Finder - Japan: http://gso.redcross.org/about-us/quake Hope this helps. |

At this point, I'd give anything for a decent night's sleep.

it's understandably there are more important things for them to worry about right now and i do wish them all the best and I wish that I had a way to help...

News keeps getting worse and worse - even the Gundam got taken down by this one
But I hear the post is still being collected so I ordered some stuff from my favourite Jlist - they are all okay and I guess life needs to go on, right?Donate to the Red Cross in your local country I would suggest - the national organisations all get involved in something of this size and I understand the Japanese gov't have now asked for international assistance :( We'll be waiting for Gosick and the rest, no problems. I already watched the Makoto Shinkai films today which made me even sadder :`) |

Completely understandable. Rather, that sounds like a short postponement to me. I don't see how TV could be back to normal that fast. This 8.9 earthquake might be the largest ever relative to population affected.
If someone else could fun my trip, I'd totally be willing to help with my own hands. But otherwise I'll wait to see what fundraiser CR promotes, and work through that. |
