An article at ANN ( http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2011-03-16/some-kids-anime-restored-expanded-after-quake) says that some of the broadcasters are starting to put shows, particularly kids shows and anime aimed at kids, back on the air to restore a sense of normalcy and help comfort kids who might be overwhelmed by the nonstop coverage of the crisis.
I personally think that this is an excellent idea and would encourage the networks to continue with this trend and return to as much normal programming as posible as soon as they can. There is a point at which 24 hour coverage of a crisis becomes overload and causes more harm than the information it imparts is worth. |

you have it backwards, daylight savings is during the Summer. Standard time is during the winter.

I'm only guessing but chances are it'll just be a week delay and it'll air next week like normal maybe even a double bill as episode 10 already aired on one TV channel. Just not the one Crunchyroll is linked with. |

OK, Funimation has Fractale up, and the Noitamina people stated that they were going to broadcast as scheduled. Why is Wandering Son not streaming today? I understand the broadcasters in Japan not putting the shows on in time, but when they do, Crunchyroll needs to play them too!

I notice that Wandering Son was not playing yet on Crunchyroll. It really the anime that made me subscribe.
I do not blame them for not streaming it yet. In my opinion, the disaster has global economic effects, and investors will need to feel that their money is safe. Many industries will try to return us to a state of normalcy as soon as possible. This is probably why we get any anime at all.

More or less what I came to say. You really can't blame the earthquake anymore when the Japanese broadcaster has already aired it. What am I paying for?

At times like these, there are SOME things that are more important than Naruto simulcasts
I have family in Tokyo, and they are doing okay, but I know that the situation is much worse in Fukushima, Sendai and the whole Tohoku region.
I believe in Japan, but I worry about them, too. |
