Abyssinian1 As far as the anime simulcasts are concerned, this wasn't even on my radar this morning. Considering what's happened (and is still happening as the aftershocks hit and as the tally in lives and infrastructure damage begins to mount, I could care less whether or not I have to wait a while to watch the shows I've been following. CR will eventually show them. Right now, there are much bigger things to worry about. . THIS!!! I can't believe people are thinking about the anime that they are going to be missing. Something is wrong with that picture!!! They can take as long as they need to make the show. I'd rather they made sure there people and city are safe My thoughts are with those in Japan. I hope the country can make a swift recovery. I will happily be making a donation to the RC. |

So much devastation... it's disheartening. Entertainment can wait; let's help out folks first. Hundreds upon hundreds of lives are destroyed. Let's all do our part to help Japan.

healthguide wrote: Do not trying to be a jerk or anything just stating something, but did anyone think about Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 when this happened? Yes! I immediately thought of that anime. I was so amazed, yet shocked on how similar this is. But this quake was not in Tokyo, it was about 240 mi. from the city. |

So far, the damage to the West Coast of the U.S. has been minimal, with this lone exception:
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110311/ap_on_re_us/us_japan_earthquake_pacific The Coast Guard is out looking for the man in Northern California who was swept away. I hope they find him. If any CR members are on the West Coast, PLEASE stay away from the beaches - if law enforcement tells you to go somewhere else, do not give them a hard time. Just go. While the damage on this side of the Pacific isn't as bad as it could have been, there is still the potential for the loss of life. Of course, I say this as a woman who lives in a landlocked, drought-plagued state, where the last earthquake we felt was caused by the Army Corp of Engineers doing dumb things with drills. Our natural disasters include plagues of grasshoppers, avalanches, flash floods, blizzards, tornados, wildfires, forest fires and hail the size of baseballs crashing through the roof. But, thankfully, no earthquakes or tsunamis. |

At this point, I'd give anything for a decent night's sleep.
