Totally understandable, we can all lay off of anime for a couple days so these people can have a chance to recover.

I don't know if it was when I first about the quake but Tokyo Magnitude 8.0 did indeed come to mind. Doesn't it seem prophetic a great summer 2009 anime of what was a fictionalized account of something predicted to happen within the next few decades happens less than 2 years later. Yeah that was on of the first thing that came to mind when i heard about the quake. Never expected that it would actually happen so soon and this is alot worse then what was depicted in the anime. |

so out of curiosity is it just the simulcasts that have been delayed or have the actual television broadcasts in japan been delayed. just wondering cause the new episode of index apparently aired after the earthquake happened.

I do hope the delays aren't too long (it won't be) and I'm not saying that out of selfishness. Part of recovery is getting life back to normal. To move forward. A delay is expected and needed, but life is too precious to dissolve into depression's void.

I believe it's a bit of both. From my understanding, all CR simulcasts have been delayed as a precaution just in case a series doesn't air - CR obviously doesn't want to leak the episode before the Japanese broadcast. However, some series also have not aired (Gosick). If an online TV guide (which is also showing disaster reports) is anything to go by, Tegami Bachi Reverse and Beelzebub are still airing. Edit: From what I can see, Tegami Bachi did but Beelzebub didn't. |

CR should air the anime "Tokyo Magnitude 8.0"
http://myanimelist.net/anime.php?id=6211 in remembrance to what happened. |

Someone told me to get a life, but I haven't found one on eBay yet...

Yeah okay heartless or whatever...but Tegami Bachi Reverse aired. Crunchyroll not gonna release it?

Again, worrying about simulcasts is the last thing we CR members should be doing. There's just been an explosion at one of the nuclear power plants affected by the quake, so to be blunt, I think Japan's TV networks have much more important things to broadcast to the populace than anime. Deal with it.

At this point, I'd give anything for a decent night's sleep.

Wow, I honestly hope everyone is okay. I give them all my prayers. And not just everyone in the anime/manga/whatever industry in Japan, the families that have been affected by the earthquake.

I'm glad to hear Shinji and the C.R. staff have decided to start up a relief fund.
As soon as I get paid, I would like to make a donation as well. I pray that Japan comes back twice as strong after this disaster. Living in Florida ( the home of hurricanes ) I have been through a few and even though you cannot compare a category 5 hurricane to a 8.9 earthquake, followed immediately by a 600 mile per hour tsunami, which caused 90% of the destruction which caused severe flooding. I saw huge ships get swept down streets for crying out loud. That is NOT normal The last hurricane we had was Oct., 2005 "Hurricane Wilma", which knocked out power and destroyed countless homes and businesses and blew away 100 year old trees....we had no power for about a week....and 2 years before that, central Florida was hit by a category 4, which knocked out power in some areas for several months! Japan could take a while longer to recover....but I do pray for a speedy recovery for the country and people of Japan. |

to some of you, people are allowed to ask questions about the weekend simulcasts i mean its hard to say you aren't at least a bit curious as to when we'll see em.

Poor Japan! I really feel for everyone there and i hope they can pull through, i am praying for them! Too bad the simulcasts won't be airing but hopefully when this earthquake stops they will start again soon. Fingers crossed that Japan is going to be safe!
