I am going to mail a mod about stickying a topic about finding people. Some people won't have seen this if they're in the affected areas as the electricity and phone lines will be out, so they may not be online until this thread has sunk to the 12th page.

And...i found this on fb...
September, 11th = World Trade Center Crash
January, 11th = Haiti Earthquake
March, 11th = Japan Earthquake
12/21/2012 When the world will end -> 1 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 + 0 + 1 + 2 = 11
Weird.

You can't pick and choose, there have been other disasters in between these ones. And what if another, even worse one were to occur on a date that isn't the 11th of something? It would invalidate the whole thing.

You're right, but I didn't make this i just found it & i don't believe in 2012 just so all of you know..? But I just thought it was weird with the whole 11 thing.

speaking of witch what about production and yes would be nice to know about the studios and who is missing!

what damage if any that has happened to them and if any of the shows will be canceled or delayed?

sorry if that sounds selfish but would like to really know.

I have thought of a way to properly commemorate the people lost and those hurt in this disaster and came up with this maybe a number of subbing groups could get together and sub a suitable selection of the Japanese news coverage and collect is and distribute it in memory of the the victims so this disaster is not soon forgotten.

Nintendo announced yesterday that all of their staff were ok, not sure about any other companies.

I really love the spirit of japan...I haven't heard anything about looting etc unlike other place...there was a
lot of looting going on in Haiti in the aftermath of the earthquake...should we blame in on the type of society? Haiti which is a poor nation which is the reason for their uncivilized ways vs japan which is not a poor nation

Differs from region to region. There was looting in New Orleans when Katrina flooded the city. Typically the poorer the area, the more likely looting will be. But hard to speak for the Japanese people. They seem to be holding together during a crisis better than other nations.

it is winter in japan and should there be cold and tired human beings in the rubble, i am sure they want someone to find them as soon as possible,

one way to find buried people is to use thermal\infrared heat detection devices. anyone that is dead will be as cold as the rubble they are lying in, if there is someone alive under a pile of rubble, they will have body heat and appear red on infrared goggles, or heat detection devices.

i dont know who to send this piece of helpful information. if you would copy paste this message and send it to the next forum, that could get the message heard and you could help save lives.

please forward this text
thankyou

After receiving PM's requesting this to be sticked, I'd be more than happy to. I wish everyone well and good luck to the people who are missing their family members. Temporally stickied.

I'm sure we've all heard about the earthquake and devastation by now. Here's a helpful link from google for anyone with loved ones or friends and haven't heard from them yet:

Is there anyway we can get this stickied?
