i pray for them all in Japan. i say we take a plane or jet and fly on over there and help them ourselves. we can not trust these organized donors "some off them" this is just an excuse to get money.

I appreciate your sympathy for your kind thoughts.
However, we'll probably be a burden if we head there, and also flights to Japan are very restricted, at the moment.
We just have to believe in the organisation we've all donated to.
Avoid being scammed by:
Donating to official organisations such as Red Cross.
Checking the URL.
Not clicking on links and avoid being re-directed to other sites.

It's really chaotic out there in Japan and hopefully they'll get all the support they need.

It really is awful.Plus they can't seem to catch a break with th aftershocks and the fact that this nuclear powerstation is likely to go into meltdown. .The footage of that town being swept away was so horrible,it almost didnt seem real, like it was a CGI scene in a movie.

According to my friend who has been regularly posting details, the Earthquake is now thought to have been a 9.0 magnitude.

Also, the death toll is apparently above 1000, with the total dead and missing being more than 3000.

Keep Japan in your thoughts and donate however much you can to whoever you do trust.

I heard it was 9, but it doesn't matter its devastating none the less heart goes out to those who have lost their loved ones and homes.

Japan is a very powerful country and I think they will recover very soon though ^_^

This disaster after disaster thing is really freaking me out though, 2012 springs to mind a lot.

Don't forget the gas explosions from houses being suddenly ripped right off their gas lines, and the resulting fires.

And don't forget the secondary effects, either: A significant portion of Japan now has no electricity, no running water, and even no navigable roads -- so many people in the countryside (up in the hills, away from the coast) are now completely cut off and isolated. There are whole towns that no one has been able to contact, and thousands of people who haven't been accounted for yet.

Everyone, please donate as much as you can spare, even if it's just a little. Skip just one trip to McDonald's, or one pack of cigarettes, and send that $5 to Japan instead.
