I fear that maybe one or some of the 200 people that died may have been a manga writer, drawer, anime director. I fear that maybe one of the many buildings that collapsed may have been Pony canyon head quarters, or an Tokyo manga agency. I fear that all animes or mangas might be at a halt for the time being, including jap dramas. But what I fear most is that we might never know.

It's really sad. No more manga or new anime, I don't know.

I doubt we will see production of anime and manga take a huge hit, but that it the least of what anyone should be concerned with right now.

It would mean a worldwide depression for anime and manga and jap drama lovers.

Right, there will be a delay in anime and such on CR. LOOK IN THE NEWS SECTION. It's not difficult.

You're the second person to start a thread like this (in the space of a couple days ,too), and the first one had her thread locked after about a dozen people posted "You're worried about your cartoons when a whole country is in crisis? What's wrong with you?"

In all honesty, I can see this thread going a similar way. ._.

Yeah, simulcasts are on hold. But really, who cares? 1200 or so people are dead and 3200 are either dead or missing, according to the latest data given to me. I'm much more worried about Japan's environment, economy, and health than I am their production and release of manga and anime.

The fuck, again with this?

I'm worried about all the casualties and missing people, and all of the families as well as the economy and environment and the health of the people.

I can care less right now about the production and release of anime and manga.
There are other things I need to do and can do other then worry about the manga and anime industry at a time like this.

People like this make me want to shoot them in the face. Get a heart or just shut up and not say anything.

I doubt the industry will be down forever, We just need to wait for them to sort out this earthquake tsunami business.

Seriously. This is no time to be worrying about anime and manga
Not only is Japan affected looks like the west coast of the United States and part of Canada is also going to be affected:

You should be worrying about those who AREN'T
manga/anime writers.
Who cares if no more comes out?

No offense but I find this to be a little selfish. I mean a lot of people have lost their homes and families. Anime/manga should be your least bit of concerns...
