Whats up everyone,

To date, iPhone and iPad users have been able to really take advantage of Crunchyroll and all their favorite videos on the go. Now's it's time for Android users to shine.

That's right folks, we've recently released the next major update for Android devices!

The new release supports free ad-supported streaming of all shows, as well as premium member access to exclusive early released content of anime broadcast in Japan. The previous version of the Crunchyroll Android application was only accessible to premium members, but now everyone can download and use it for free!

All premium perks still apply for premium members only:
- simulcast early access
- no advertisements
- 3G streaming is premium only (free users must use wi-fi)

The new updated application can be downloaded from the Android Market (http://bit.ly/crunchyroll-android) and requires Android OS 2.1 or above. Much like the Crunchyroll site itself, viewers can enjoy Crunchyroll’s vast anime library for free with ad-supported streaming to their Android device. Viewers can also sign up for a premium membership to gain instant access to the latest episodes from hit anime titles airing one (1) hour after Japanese broadcast.

So just to clearify. I have the Huawei Ascend Android 2.1 Phone From Metro Pcs. The app used to tell me I needed to be a premium member to watch anime. Now its free so I don't need to be a premium member to watch anime? If yes than thank you very much.

The 3G streaming is sure one reason to upgrade. I really don't care about higher quality streams on my phone.

On the computer, yeah gimme higher quality, but on my phone? Eh...

working great on my htc desire Z

After I enter my password to log in, it takes me to a screen asking me to upgrade to the All Access pass! And it still won't let me watch the most recent simulcasts! I have an HTC Hero.

I'm using the HTC Evo and I really like the app, a few problems here and there like randomly giving the "all access pass needed" message where I have to log out and back in and then it works, and then there is also the issue of videos stopping at least once during playback and having to fast forward back to where I was.

One this app gets going it should prove to be pretty good.
