Huh, I wonder if this was trolling gone wrong?

I don't think she deserved death threats for that. In fact, it seemed like pretty innocent ignorance. Still, it was racist and stupid. With an apology, people should forget it and move on. Really, who cares? Hopefully she learned to protect her identity and not post every damn thought that pops in her head on the internet.

To be honest I wouldn't label her as a racist simply based on this one video but it is clear that, unless she did it to raise ire, she completely lacks tact.

I think this needs to be seen in connection to the events in Japan. Clearly she made this video complaining cause she dislikes the Asians at her school, and now that they've broken the rules and American customs by speaking on their cellphones in the library, she finally has a "valid" reason for being pissed and takes advantage of that to rant.

Oh come on what she said wasn't as bad as I thought
What she said is partly true. Grow a dick and stop crying

Yea? How about if the situation was the opposite, an American exchange student in Japan after 9/11 who has been waiting for 5 days to hear whether or not his/her parents are alive or dead! When you finally get that call, do you think you'll have much consideration for being in a lirbabry or not, does it even strike you you might be in a quiet zone? I don't think so...

As much as the whole mimicking speech thing was racist, she does make some good points. People shouldn't talk in the library, although limiting the offenders to just "asians" seem a bit intolerant. And the tsunami comment was definitely inappropreiate.

Oh boy. in the future --> she has graduated, and is trying to get a job. Doesn't she understand that employers use search engines too.

Employer: Aren't you the Ms Wallace that ranted against Asians during a trying time in Japan?
Ms Wallace: I didn't mean it.
Employer; and neither is this job offer. Good Day !

People in my school (white/ asian/ or black) talk on the phone in the library often.
I've done it once, but of course I don't have bad manners to just continue my call in there. I took my belongings and my phone outside to continue the call.

and that girl needs some common sense.

I too believe that the death threats are too much. She is entitled to her opinion but she could have said her opinion in a much lighter tone/way.

Don't worry everyone! I'll find someone to calm her ass down by leading her to some very uncomfortable African-American deep dicking!

I loved the part where she blamed her inability to reach an epiphany on the Asian talking on the phone. Like that is all that is holding her back.

Hmmm well I attend the university of Queensland in Austrian and roughly 60% of our student body is "Asian" if not more and our libraries are pretty damn quite. You know why that is, cause people are considerate and have manners despite their background. Sure you occasionally hear a phone going off cause some1 forgot to put theirs on silent or a study group gets a bit loud but once they realize they quite down. To me it seems like she used the situation with the Japanese community who are prob desperate for news about family and friends to justify her discriminatory ideologies. Also she clearly wanted attention, otherwise she wouldn't have posted it anywhere on the net where the entire world has access to it. If she doesn't have the foresight to know there was gonna be a backlash then she is just stupid.

What sucks is the racism card being thrown all over the place...I didn't find this racist at all it's just her opinion the ching chong thing was over doing it but hey...racism will never end because someone always thinks every little coment or action is racist...blame the racism card

I wonder if she can say that being blonde as an excuse. she maybe protected by freedom of speech but not from freedom of stupidity.
