If I wanted to move my ethernet modem box to my room I wouldn't need to buy this Roku box in the first place. Seems very inconvenient to me. All 3 current Roku models include WiFi. The middle model adds extended range 802.11n, and the top model adds dual-band capability. |

Yes, that's my real age.

I never used WiFi, how does it work? I only have one modem with no router therefore currently if I want CR in my room I need to buy an expensive 100 ft. cable to attach the ethernet cable to the Roku box. Or I could just save myself the trouble and simply watch it on my computer. If this WiFi works better I would consider buying Roku. All I want is to be able to watch CR on either my computer OR in my room. Again, I have no router, no wireless internet device, nothing.

I like what I see with the update! I really like the seasons being split because it makes it much easier to find an episode I want.

I am using a 65 inch Samsung as a monitor, TV and also for playing MAG on PS3. Running AMD Phenom II quad core with, XFX Radeon HD 5770 Graphics adapter - 1 GB - GDDR5 SDRAM to enhance the video output. Watching anything and everything is awesome |

So will I get better quality (480 and720) using the roku box than using the flash client on the website. I used to be able to stream 480 with no problem, now I have to use SD to get glitch free (as in no buffering stops) viewing. My U-Verse connection has not changed. Still 6Mbs DL. I realize those speeds vary depending on a lot of factors

Laptop to HDTV is my current media solution!
But for ease of use, a dedicated set top box like a Roku is a great investment, not to mention for $79 you get full 1080p support (with available content). It also carries many other interesting APPs like Revision3 and NetFlix! I only wish it had the free Hulu online service, not HuluPlus. Beggers can't be choosers I guess. Excellent work CR! |
