My first anime was Inuyasha, when I was in grade 1. So... 6ish. My first manga was also Inuyasha, at age 6. I really got into anime and manga in grade 6, though. Thanks to my friend Mika, who got me into Shugo Chara.

Anime at age 15.
Manga at age 20. In the past I didn't like manga because I could easily read an entire volume in one sitting. I guess I just thought of manga as books for people who weren't good readers.

i was 13 thats when i started watching INUYASHA, RUROUNI KENSHIN, AND YUYU HAKUSHO!! god how i miss those shows!!! im 21 now lol i was into bleach until it just recently ended

when i was 10 i found out bout manga when i went with my mom to the library cuz she had to talk to a friend so i searched and found so i found manga and got really into the shoujo manga and gradually a japanese friend of mine who i also met at the library she told me about anime and so i got into it alot

Even though i watched dbz, yuyu hakusho, etc when i was a kid. I didn't know what anime was until i was in high school. :|

11 is when I started to watch anime, 20 when I started to read manga... I'm 24 now... where the hell does the time go, if it weren't for my awesomeness people would think I'm a nerd... wait people already do think I'm a nerd.

Anime I started watching when I was 6. Manga when I was about 9 or 10. And I'm 19 now so... about 13 years ago. o.O dang.

It was in the eighth grade so I think I was about 13. I had read and watched stuff like Dragonball and Pokemon before but I never really knew it was Japanese or that it was part of a larger industry. Then, one day at the public library, I randomly picked up Megatokyo volume 5 and started reading it. It was an American manga about an otaku and his friend getting stuck in Japan. It showed me everything about being an otaku and my life hasn't been the same since. Fred Gallagher, the author/artist of Megatokyo, changed my life forever that day.
