On facebook I only accept people I have meet in person (and remember/like, sorry random people from my high school class who try to add me...). But on CR I haven't turned down any (not that I have gotten many).

I only have less than 20 people on my FB. I don't need like 1000 people just to feel relevant on Facebook. I have befriended only a small handful of people here.

To be blunt, I reject a buddy request unless I know the person in real life. Why? I have no way of knowing if the person on the other end is who he/she claims to be. It's very easy to lie about who you are on the web. Maybe I've become paranoid from the news, but I want to avoid cyber bullying or other possible dangers, like pedophiles. (I'm way over 18, but that's just an example). The other thing is, I'm not on Crunchyroll to make friends, I'm here to watch Anime. On a more practical matter, in the past when I did accept buddy requests, I never talked to them because I don't think to chat or "connect" with the person on the other end. I have nothing against the person on the other end, but unless I'm going to actually DO something with a buddy I see no practical reason to accept a buddy request. But mainly I want to protect myself, so that's why I reject buddy requests, unless I actually know the person.

I accept everyone, but if you don't talk to me, I see no need to keep you for long. so in the end, it depends if we bond or not.

Well, I can't say that I understand. I personally would say Unique, or Not overly social... If anything introvert. But boring no. Humans are always mysterious and interesting on some level... Even the ones we hate.

I'm not that bad... I only have like 175 or so pending buddy requests.
...about 15% of them have nuked and no longer exist. it's like a perpetual graveyard/time capsule of days past.
