Do you normally know what your dreams mean? After you wake up from a dream do you remember them?
What are some ways you remember your dreams?

I dream a lot at night, it really sucks sometimes but the stuff I usually dream about is an extension of something I experienced during the day. For example, I dream crazy shit if I watch a sci-fi movie that day.

I dream alot. But usually it's a compilation of book and anime characters in a random plot of my own sometimes including me, sometimes not. I use them as story ideas, but I'm not that great at puttnig my thoughts into writing.

I remember being fascinated with dreams when I was younger. Best way to remember them is to write them down as soon as you wake up when you're still in that groggy/half asleep state. For some reason, you start forgetting most of the times when you start waking up fully.

There are a few schools of thought on the meanings. It was fun to read through some dream interpretation books, sort of like astrology, tarrot, and things along that vein.
Some sources say that it's just your subconscious processing random bits of information, completely non-sensical.
Other sources say that you can use your association to understand your dreams better. The first thing that your dream makes you think of, ponder too much and your rational brain will start making things up with no subconscious association.
Just about every school of psychology has their own take on the roles of dreams, but the ones above seem most interesting to me back then.

I don't usually remember my dreams, and the last one I did remember was actually a nightmare. It was more-or-less a possible reference to bugs.

I hate bugs, and having them pop from your skin is no good thing.

My dream is pretty weird, sometimes I do remember and other times I just don't really care about my dreams.

I sometimes dream of having a second child and being super happy about it. It freaks me out because I wake up with baby fever.
I also dream of having these romantic, secret, lovely affairs with people, and am happy to be sexually and romantically free.
I often dream about fears and desires, things that are really obvious.

Occasionally, though, my dreams mean nothing and are dumb as fuck.

back when i was boarding in a catholic school, we were asked to pray a lot. And before going to bed, a heart-to-heart with god was compulsory. uncannily i used to have some really crazy dreams when i didn't pray before sleeping (or that's my theory). In all of these dreams i lost my voice, and i would in an extremely dire situation where all i had to do was call out for help, and in all of them, my mother would abandon me.

Anyway, i dream every night, and it's always crystal clear when i wake up in the morning, and so i jot it down in my diary when i have the time.
