I want to build a new gaming PC sooo badly D:
but I'm holding out for Ivybridge and southern islands/keplar (I have love for both) I'm currently using my G73JH laptop as my main source of pc gaming, the mobility gpu on it is practically a slightly downclocked desktop 5770 and I got it for an unbelievable 1k when retail price was 1600+ a long time ago, so I haven't really updated my desktop solution so far. :[ I was considering on dumping my desktop upgrade money jar on the 2600k so I can get the 600t, pop on an acrylic case door and dipped my feet in watercooling for the first time like a friend of mine has, but I've made up my mind to just wait for Ivybridge, however the new enthusiast Sandybridge lineup is looking really nice. |

Case : NZXT Phantom (Black) Motherboard : Asus P8 Z68-V Pro CPU : Intel® Core™ i7-2600K CPU @ 3.40GHz (4.20 overclocked) RAM : Corsair Vengeance (4x4x4x4 = 16gb) Video Card : EVGA GeForce GTX 570 Sound Card : Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Power Supply : Corsair AX1200 Other Logitech G930 Headset Logitech G700 Mouse Logitech G510 Keyboard Black Magic Intensity Shuttle (with x-split for livestream) I forgot what my water cooling system is, but it's corsair as well, and I changed the cpu fan to something else, but I can't remember what it is (too lazy to check).. As for Memory, I use the regular SSD 128 for windows/boot, and 3 TB hard drives for memory.. |

Please don't confuse hard drive space with memory though. They're two different things. Alright hard disk drives then.. Or should I be more specific and say Serial ATA Hard Disk Drives? I got my A+ certificate too, I just never expected someone to care about all the details.. Not butthurt or anything, just amazed that someone actually read everything I posted so kudos to you.. And thanks, I plan on upgrading in the future, just a little bit short on money atm (and I know my RAM is a bit overkill, but it was on sale for $70 dollars so I went and got it).. |

Yep, ram is dirt cheap at the moment. I'm pondering a 24GB matched set of G.Skill myself. Not many things will make use of it, but it'll be handy in Photoshop. |
