Well then here it goes. I'm not gonna hold back at all.

1. Do you know what the American Dream is? Have you heard of this term before?

I know what it is. It means to achieve life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness? Right? The American Dream can be anything you want it to be if you put your mind to it.

2. What is your “American Dream?”

To be a successful, married man with a family of my own.

3. How old are you?

Twenty-Eight

4. What’s your major/what would you like to major in?

Not sure. Leaning towards Custodian jobs.

5. Why does one think American dream called the American dream rather than Chinese or African dream?

Well why do you think it is? Because you live in america, and it has nothing to do with your skin color or religion at all. It's about you as a human being, living in america and achieving a dream of whatever you want in a free country.

6. Do you think everyone has their own American dream?

Well I'd like to think so, but so many groups in america are brainwashed to be one-dimentional and go with something based on what the mainstream thinks they should.

7. What inspired you to have this American dream?

My grandmother and grandfather and what they had to go through with my mother and aunts and uncles to make it to where they are today.

8. Does one think everybody has a common American dream we all strive for?

No, not at all. Everybody's dream should be different and unqiue. But it doesn't seem to be that way in today's society.

9. Are you pursuing your American dream or have you given up on it?

I'm still pursuing it, but with no hope in that it will succeed.

10. What ethnicity are you?

Black American. But I'll always be an american and a human being first and foremost.

11. Does race limit what kind of American dream one can have?

No and it never should be, unless again you are brainwashed to think that it is from a one-dimentional standpoint. Just because you're skin color is different from others, DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING IN AMERICA! If you are black, for example, you can be the next great hockey player, or the next great NASCAR driver, or an awsome scientist that invents things, anything that you want to be reguardless of the race. Race should never be used as a weapon or a handicap to get yourself to the top, because it's supposed to be about your character and determination to be the best in your field. That's what the American Dream means.

12. Is your American dream realistic? Is it just a dream that is forever unattainable? (I.e. growing wings) why?

Of course it's realistic, because I want to be a father and later on a grandfather. I want to be a wonderful husband to the woman I marry, and a wonderful dad the children we produce. I'd like to have a better custodian job down the line when that happens to support my family.

13. Do you think that different class (I.e. middle class, upper class) limits your American dream?

It should never limit my dream. It's not about money, but about the heart, love, and the enjoyment of life itself.

14. Does religion determine what kind of American Dream you can have?

It depends on the religion.

I love that you said Black American rather than African American, thank you. *hugs* you made my day by letting me know there are still people who know the difference between African immigrants (the real African Americans) and those BORN here, known as just plain americans.
Until people call all whites European Americans, I don't think it makes sense.

1. Do you know what the American Dream is? Have you heard of this term before?

The freedom to choose who and what you are to be paired with the potential and opportunity to 'make it big'/succeed.

2. What is your “American Dream?”

I have a vision of a world where everyone has a computer that is connected to the internet. Through that connection, they can educate themselves and be able to contribute to society in a way that allows them to support themselves and their family. I want to one of the people that helps make this possible. The way I want do this is by building a type of business that can be operated online, one that is highly profitable and can be taught to others. Not the really a typical american dream, but if I lived somewhere else, I don't think I can make this dream come true.

3. How old are you?

21

4. What’s your major/what would you like to major in?

Taking Business specializing in Marketing.

5. Why does one think American dream called the American dream rather than Chinese or African dream?

North America and Europe mostly are the only places with these opportunities and freedoms. Europe doesn't really take in immigrants, Canada has a lower population and less opportunities. The U.S or 'America' is best place to have the 'dream' fulfilled.

6. Do you think everyone has their own American dream?

Yeah I do.

7. What inspired you to have this American dream?

It's complicated.

8. Does one think everybody has a common American dream we all strive for?

I think everyone has their dreams. But the stereotypical 'American Dream' of wealth and prosperity in a monetary sense is only for the majority. There are others that want wealth in other forms such as spiritual or w/e. Although, I believe that freedom and equal opportunity is a part of the american dream that everyone wants.

9. Are you pursuing your American dream or have you given up on it?

Pursuing it and in the process of.

10. What ethnicity are you?

Chinese

11. Does race limit what kind of American dream one can have?

No, that's a silly limiting belief.

12. Is your American dream realistic? Is it just a dream that is forever unattainable? (I.e. growing wings) why?

It is absolutely realistic, I can see that it is already in the process of happening.

13. Do you think that different class (I.e. middle class, upper class) limits your American dream?

You are only limited by your own self-doubt and limiting beliefs.

14. Does religion determine what kind of American Dream you can have?

Yes it does. Someone might have a dream that is filled with money and lots of women, a devout christian would more likely have a dream of monetary success and a supportive and loving family.

optional* Please leave your name and class (I.e. upper class, middle class)

Middle class
