Anyone thinking of checking this new movie of Evangelion? I saw quite a few new or not introduced characters, evas, and scenes in the trailer that make you think about what the director really must've intended with the series. The artwork and animation quality is truly phenomenal and hands-down some of the best I have seen in awhile. I am definitely buying this cause I'm a big fan of the series and was really confused by the last movies, I hope this one might explain a couple things (especially that mindf*** ending in the series >_>).

This is relevant to my interests. Do you know when it will be available in our Region?

All I can say is that IT'S AMAZING!!!
I got to see it, and was just simply blown away. I don't want to say anything that will spoil it....but if there is something learned at a Eva panel at Anime Boston last year, is that they are saying the movies will not really follow the series the further into the movies you get. All I can say is that after seeing the second movie...it's true...

They are trying to get away from the series in very subtle moves, and I think do a very good job at it...making me very impatient about waiting for the Q to be made and released!

I know that if you ordered the movie from rightstuf.com you already received your copy, but Amazon should be sending them out next week! Can't wait to get my Blu-Ray copy. Either way...it's a must see movie!!

I saw a couple trailers for it from the Funimation youtube site, and it looks awesome. I'll definitely check it out.

I'm going to be getting it when it comes out. I enjoyed the original series, except the ending, and I really enjoyed 1.11. Looking forward to it. Heard nothing but good things.

Good to hear that, the series wasn't made as intended cause of budget cuts. I'm glad they are going toward movies too because it offers much better quality than a series imho.

Yup it is supposed to be March 29. For some reason I think Right Stuff made a boo-boo and sent my copy on Blu-disk early since I preordered the disc. I hav'nt watched it yet. I fear if I watch it now, Right Stuff may be in trouble since my PS3 is hooked up to internet.

Oh, I could unplug my internet connection before I watch it.

I have the Japanese Blu-Ray. It contains film cells which can be worth some good money. I also have the American Blu-Ray pre-ordered. Pretty intense show.

Those film cells were mostly crappy unless you got very lucky. The few good cells are worth a ton of money like if you have a Rei or Asuka cell they can see for a few hundred bucks. My friends cell was just a random shot of the moon surface i think most people got a crap one like that.

Evangelion 2.22 is much better than the first movie there';s a lot more action for a start and much more happening. Asuka is also in this movie so it adds more character since both Shinji and Rei are pretty quiet most of the time they don't interact in very exciting ways but with Asuka around it's all more amusing with her constant jelousy over anyone who talks to Shinji. The ending is also pretty spectacular but i won't spoil that here.

I got my dvd of it a couple of days ago and watched it thursday. I was really happy with the dub. I'd already seen a fansub of it and loved it then, but not having to read subtitles makes it even better........
