Edited to keep the post from getting too long. Ha ha.
Yes though, some stores do have an internet connection that you can use so you can perform the system transfer in the store. Since it's not at all stores though, the best thing to do would be to call a GameStop store near you and explain the situation. Tell them that you have a Nintendo 3DS console and that you were thinking about upgrading to the Nintendo 3DS-XL, and that you were wondering if they had an internet connection so that you could perform the system transfer from Nintendo 3DS to Nintendo 3DS in the store so that you won't lose any of your saved data or purchased downloads. If they tell you'll be able to keep your save data and purchased downloads just by popping the SD card out of your current system and sticking it in the new one, tell them they don't know nothing, and try another GameStop. Of course though, you don't want to be rude, since if they do take pre-orders on the console if comes, they might not give you one.

As for when it would be released, I also do agree that Black Friday seems the most likely time, in which case, they might not offer pre-orders on the console. Last year, Nintendo released a very limited edition blue Nintendo Wii console for Black Friday, as well as the The Legend of Zelda 25th Anniversary Edition Nintendo 3DS console, and the two years before that they released limited edition Nintendo DSi consoles.

And for how I managed that, the time it takes to write something like that on my Nintendo 3DS doesn't bother me, and I didn't wanna get out of bed. Too cold. Lol.

Aww, well if that happens i have to be alert and make sure i get it. Thanks for the info man!

Not a problem, my friend. I'm sort of like the Nintendo guy around here, so I'm full of all kinds of useless knowledge and I always have the latest news. Lol. If you ever have a problem with any of your Nintendo games or consoles though, feel free to drop me a line. I might be able to help you fix your problem. Or perhaps I'll see you around on either Kid Icarus: Uprising or Mario Kart 7.

As a bit of sad news though, Nintendo of Japan announced that they're ending production of the Flare Red Nintendo 3DS. Not even two years old and they've retired two colors already. On the other hand though, they do have other colors we don't have over here.

Useless? Don't say that. Had i not known this before i would have traded in my 3ds and lost all my dlc. Now i can check before i do this. The one 3ds Xl that does interest me is that pikachu one, i'm not going to lie. I've been excited ever since it was coming to europe and i hope i can get it.

Ah, glad I can help then. Perhaps playing Nintendo games for so long has some perks. Ha ha.

I'll admit, I too would love to have the Pikachu Nintendo 3DS-XL. But, as for me, even if it does come out over here, I probably can't get it. The Wii U comes first. Ha ha.

I might eventually get a wiiu but i will wait this time around, and see if it does indeed get a good library of games instead of the bad ports and shovel wear we saw on the wii. This limited edition xl is just what i always wanted, and i hope to god it shows up here.

Oh, it's getting some awesome games. I got to play Wii U in late August, and it's awesome. Batman: Arkham City-Armored Edition is really awesome with Wii U GamePad, and Zombi U is really cool as well.

Actually, there is another thing that just popped into my mind. If Nintendo of America does bring the Pikachu 3DS-XL system over here, it's also possible that they'll make it a Nintendo World Store exclusive, meaning you could only get it by going to the Nintendo World Store in New York. It's not likely Nintendo would do something like that, but it is always possible.
Have you actually ever tried playing a Nintendo 3DS-XL system? They feel so very different from the Nintendo 3DS.

I have, and while it does feel different i like that it has a longer battery life which is something i was complaining about with the 3ds.

With all of the settings set on high, the battery on the Nintendo 3DS-XL lasts only about half an hour longer than the battery on the Nintendo 3DS. Granted, with all of the settings set to low, the battery last about an hour and a half longer that the Nintendo 3DS's battery. None of those stats though are taking Sleep Mode into account. However, the slightly better battery does come with a cost. The speakers are not as powerful on the Nintendo 3DS-XL as they are on the Nintendo 3DS, and the screen is actually a tad bit duller than the Nintendo 3DS's.

And now after watching the Animal Crossing: Jump Out Nintendo Direct from Japan, I am so ready for the game!

Right now, I'm not especially interested in the 3DS, for the following reasons:

* The current 3DS software isn't especially interesting.
* I have plenty of really good portable games on other systems.
* I need to save my money for important things, and stuff I know I'll enjoy.

This - will probably buy a BCD for Scuba instead. xD

There are not enough big name 3DS games yet.
Noting too breathe taking yet.
Maybe when Animal Crossing and Monster Hunter come out, I'll go out and buy one.

i'll wait until Phoenix Wright 5 comes out. I'm not particularly interested in its graphics, especially the 3D. The battery life is not good enough for a long travel. I liked the battery life of DS lite better than 3DS and I have always wished that 3DS' battery's as long as DS Lite. I would wait until better games come out. For now, I'm going to invest my money in XBOX.

THIS....except for the last part (sorry, have no interest in getting an Xbox), lol. That's the ONLY reason that's gonna move me off the fence of getting a 3DS.....always has been. Hopefully by the time they come out w/ AA5 in the West, they might release another more appealing color option for the 3DS XL b/c the choices they have out now are fugly (I love red, but that 3DS XL red looks 'blah' to me and not as pretty as the original 3DS Fiery Red).

Maybe if I'm lucky, we'll get the silver one like Japan's got by then. *fingerscrossed*
