I was tempted to buy a Zelda one just to keep tucked away.. but I feel like it wont ever be worth more than any other 3DS. The markings are only on the outer top surface of it. The rest of it is just plain "Cosmo black" design.

The white one in the Mario 3D Land bundle looks very nice.

Anyway. Enjoy your 3DS' people.

If you're stuck for software then I recommend:

Tales of the Abyss
Cave Story 3D
Mario Kart 7
Super Mario 3D Land
Samurai Warriors Chronicles
Resident Evil The Mercenaries 3D - or if you don't mind holding out until the end of january then - Resident Evil Revelations.
If you like beat 'em ups I'd go for Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition or BlazBlue Continuum Shift II.

Dead or Alive Dimensions is a bit crap if I'm honest.

oh and Ocarina of Time is a given.
Would also say that Sonic Generations is alright if you liked the DS Sonic games. Not a lot of very classic Sonic levels.. counted 3 so far (Mushroom Hill, Casino Nights and Green Hill).

I already have the pretty Zelda one. I am perfectly content with all I have on there, I picked up the Four Swords thing they were giving for free for a while too and I play that with friends at school, otherwise I play my Pokemon games and Zelda mainly, though I have some other games for it (like Harvest Moon). I like the pedometer, and playing around with Swapnote and the 3D B&W Pokedex. So I always have something to do; I'm happy.

Got the Aqua Blue and I love it as well. There isn't a lot of games for it just yet... and most game for it is pretty boring but I know it has great potential! I will wait for some surprising game! Maybe final fantasy? hahah

So... the 3DS is region locked? I heard that it was, and was considering getting one. Are there any good games for it in Japan yet?

I'm tempted to buy one if Pokemon Grey comes out exclusively for the 3DS.

I've been looking at some of its games already (especially the RE ones), and I want to get them, but I am in no rush or need to go get the 3DS just for the RE games. Pokemon is the deal breaker. :p It's the only reason why I upgrade (got the gameboy color specifically for Red at first; then SP for Saphire/Ruby/, then the DS for Diamond/Pearl.)

Yes, the Nintendo 3DS handheld gaming system is, in fact, region locked. As far as the games go though, most every "good" game that has been released in Japan has also been or will be released in North America. You would do well to simply purchase a Nintendo 3DS from the region you live in instead of importing one.

I suspect what you call good and what I call good aren't really the same thing. But thanks for answering! :)

Im wanting the dating sim games and Theatrythym (which I think will be Jp only).

Good games, as in Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time 3D, Star Fox 64 3D, Cave Story 3D, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, Resident Evil Revelations, and Metal Gear Solid 3D: Snake Eater (or Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D) are among the games that are currently available. Downloadable games such as Pushmo (Pullblox), Mighty Switch Force!, and Sakura Samurai: Art of the Sword are also available from the Nintendo eShop. Professor Layton and the Mask of Miracle is slated for a 2012 release date outside of Japan, and Capcom has yet to announce release dates for Monster Hunter Tri-G and Monster Hunter 4 outside of Japan.
A number of other games are being released during the 2012 year, including Luigi's Mansion 2, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, Paper Mario, and most importantly, Kid Icarus: Uprising arrives in North America on March 23.

As for what you're looking for, it's very, very unlikely that dating sim games such as New Love Plus will be released outside of Japan, and there has been no confirmation that Theatrhythm Final Fantasy will be a Japanese exclusive.

However, if you are going to import a Nintendo 3DS system, do keep in mind that you'll only be able to access things that are available only in Japan. This means that you will not be able to download the Netflix app, you won't be able to download the Hulu Plus app when it is available later this year, the Nintendo Video app most likely will not be able to work correctly, you most likely will not be able to use "download codes" that are available as rewards from Club Nintendo of America on the Nintendo eShop, and it also would not be surprising if you were to have trouble adding funds to the Nintendo eShop (unless you have a credit card that works in Japan with no problem), which also means that you might not be able to get all of the paid DLC songs for Theatrhythm Final Fantasy. If you're fine with all of that, then go for it and enjoy those games.

Also, one thing to point out, it's the Nintendo 3DS side of the system that is region locked. You can still play a Nintendo DS game from any region with no problem on any Nintendo 3DS. Games such as Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version (DSi-enhanced games, if you will), may or may not work correctly.
