Okay sorry for the lateness.. these are the tips I promised to give you. xD
For your troubles,
1. Text : Everything about the text must MATCH the THEME of the graphic. I suggest for you to always add gradients on every text you do. Try to avoid making strokes/shadows/glows too thick. I highly suggest that you DO NOT use the bevel and emboss option. I also suggest that using colorful colors as strokes such as, red, blue, etc etc. ANY color besides black and white, it makes the text weird. So I suggest that you only use black and white for strokes(thick strokes). xD
2. Filling in empty spaces : Hmm.... you can always use some PNGs or a clone of the main photo. ;D
3. Weird text textures : .... Hmm idk how to answer this... maybe you can show me a sample? O:
4. Photoshop : Well, I suggest you take your time wandering about. xD That's what I did. Haha.
5. Simplicity : It's not a bad thing... unless you don't like simple edits. P: Practice mixing patterns(dashed, checkered, blabla) with brushes. Also get a lot of different kinds of textures.... But you don't need too much. Just around 400 will do. xD I have 1,636 textures. LOLOLOL.

Hello~ sorry for the lateness. Here are the tips i've promised xD
1. Choosing fonts : First I'd like to ask how many fonts do you have? second, when choosing fonts, take your time. you can always use the up and down arrow keys to choose fonts one-by-one. that helps a lot :3

I really love the 1st avatar and the profile you showed me. O: the other three just looks kinda weird to me XD
-Use better colorings
-Download more fonts
-Don't rush your works
-Use pixel fonts for your copyright
-Avoid leaving empty spaces.

ASKSFHLSALKJH. IT'S SO PERDY. 8D
And that's cool that you wrote the text. Did you use a tablet or did you use your mouse? O:
Well anyway, I don't think there's anything wrong with it. O:
Maybe it looks a bit empty.... hmm add a border! :3
Also, I think the background is a bit odd.. if you look at the left side, it's pure pink/white/blank. at the right part... the one behind her hair strands, it's dark... soo watch out for stuff like that. it makes it look weird. xD
i think your copyright is standing out too much. since most of the photo is bright... then BOOM, you use a black copyright. XDD also i think it's in the wrong position.. it could look better under the clone of the photo. xD

well hope those helped~

First of all, thank you thank you :DD
Next to answer your question, I don't know how many fonts I have 0-0
Yea I sometimes do that, but I never find one I like. For downloading fonts, I don't know fonts to download.
Does my work looked rushed?
And OK Ill try to use pixel fonts for copyright. What size do you suggest for the copyright?

I'm not really satisfied with this one. The photo you used looks too blended with the background... And it's too simple. You could've used better colorings like... one that makes the colors stand out more. And the font for "Smile" looks good, but it's kinda rough. "for me" font is okay.. but you could use a better one. I think the bird stands out since most of the photo is yellowish and the bird is pink. xD You could add some borders. Some light textures or paper textures. ;D
It's really hard to give tips to this one cause I really don't think the photo you used is suitable for graphics making. XD

Sorry, Idk what else to say haha. XDD
Anyway, 6 points.

You're welcome P:
LOL . Hmm well that's fine. XD I was just wondering if you only have a few fonts. Around 200-300 is only a few fonts. You might need to download more. I have around 1000... so I'm kinda satisfied with my fonts. But I always download a font if it catches my eye.
You can check here: http://www.dafont.com/forum/?f=1. <- That place is where people ask for fonts they're looking for. You can check there if you can find any good ones. I always go there. XD
And yes some of your works look rushed.. Like the banners.. they're too simple compared to the avatars and profile.
It depends on the pixel font you use. If you go to dafont(bitmap, and pixel fonts section) you'll see the font's name, correct? At the right side you'll see something like "10px" "26px" etc etc. That's the recommended font size for that pixel font. If you don't use that recommended size, the pixel font will look weird. xD You can try it for yourself. XD

I really love the "Dive In" signature. The flow, depth, everything is great about it. xD
The avatar. I have to say, it's really weird looking. :\ It's LQ, and messy too.
I can't think of any advice right now. LOL. srys ._.

Hallo hallo Emi ;D
Welcome~
Well here's some tips for you to begin with, I hope they'll help at least a bit.

FOR YOUR TROUBLES:
1. Mixing things : Is this a problem with matching things? If so, I suggest you organize your resources by type. For example "Light Textures" "Cute PNGs" "Grunge Textures" make folders like that.. so when you're making gfx, you know what you'll need. (; Also, make sure you take your time testing out different resource on your graphic.
2. Blending : Well I don't blend much. But you'll have to know how to use Layer Masks if you want to do proper blending. See this: http://www.photoshopessentials.com/basics/layers/layer-masks/. There are a lot of pages, but it's worth the time to read.
3. Text : Ayee, almost everyone has problem with this little devil... Firstly, you'll have to match it with the theme of the graphic. Second, use gradients to make the text more pleasing to the eye. For strokes, I suggest for you to NOT use other colors than black and white(for thick strokes) Adding some inner glows will make it more pretty. Outer glows are not bad to use too. Just take time experimenting around the Layer Styles.
4. PSDs/Actions : Looking for a good coloring/action that will fit the photo can be hard at some times. So you'll have to mix them up and adjust some things. I don't use actions much cause I'm lazy to install them XDD
5. Borders : Well, just a simple border like this
will fit any kind of graphic. P:

Okay for your graphics;
the first avatar is too plain. and it's LQ. i suggest you get a better background. and don't make everything too pink. add some different colors to make it more interesting. but don't make it too colorful... LIKE A FREAKING RAINBOW. LOLOL . the font you chose isnt bad... but you could've been more creative on how you'll position and add styles on it. the text is too small... :\ the font for the "strawberry" on the top and bottom of the avatars is a big NO. use pixel fonts or something more simple if you're going to put it on a border like that.

the second one is lq too. and that tape recorder thing is really weird. take it off. o.o the texts are too small.. you could've made it bigger and make it stand out more. the top part is empty. use a better coloring. o_o

can't think of any more advice. i'm having a headache today. sorry if my advice is a bit harsh or anything. o.O

Oh its okay ;D Can I ask questions then? (:

1. What kind of color would make it stand out?
2. Um...what do you mean by rough?
3. Do you think orange and yellow looks alright? The girls hair and the bird became orange while the background is still light yellowish. xD

I agree the picture is not really good for editing. I didn't render it either. It's too hard ><

...1000 fonts 0-0 I have to say, I'm amazed. I dont think I have even 200 fonts 0-0
Oh okay Ill try that (: Oh i never knew that. Thanks :DD
And...I never realized that 0-0 Apart from the fact that my work always turns out pretty plain.
