That's a negatory big sister.

Although I don't hesitate to buy a book since if I live to grow old enough I will want to read my old books that I read when I was still young.

I don't have any problem re-reading a book, though I usually wait a year or two so that I don't remember it as clearly. I couldn't read the same book twice in a row though.

If I love the book I can reread it quite a few times, but I can never read the same book twice in a row either ... guess I have a low attention span
That being said I've reread my favourite mangas a lot ... I never get bored of them!!

I read the dune series 3 times as a kid, stop reading after I started driving cars though. I did just get back into reading and just finished The Voyage of the H.M.S. Beagle and half done with River Town, Two Years on the Yangtze.

I bet if I tried hard enough, I could read a book like a bajillion times!

Sorry, but this topic looked like a book reading challenge.

You can never read a great book just once. All my favorite books are battered, worn, and filled with notes in the margins. Bellow are the books that I've read the most amount of times.

Oryx and Crake- Atwood: 9 times
Idlewild series- Sagan: 8 times
Transall Saga- Paulson: 8 times
Frankenstien- Shelly: 7
Grendel- Gardner: 7 times
Abohorsen Series-Garth Nix: 5 times
Battle Royal-Koushun Takami: 5 times
Hex Series-Lassiter: 5 times
The Butcher Boy-MacCabe: 5 times

I use to not be able to but I can now. It really depends on the book.
most of them I can't but there are a few that I will read over and over.

Yes!!!

I just finished an awesome series ...
and, I think, when enough time has passed I will probably read the series all over again.

NO. Ive tried before and its practically impossible. Well it might be possible but in a gap of at least 15 years ha. I can read parts of the book though but not the whole thing over again. The magic of it has left since you know whats gonna happen next.

Yes, I reread books all the time. Unless I find a book a terrible read . I find that when I read through the first time I don't always get everything out of it. And this is true whether its manga or just regular novels. There's always something I missed the first time around its like information overload. So read it again I must. My favorite book is a novel called "Transformers: Exodus". I've read that book now 3 times and still I found it enjoyable each time. Number 4 isn't far away either.

I was like this even as a child. Back then it was Black Beauty that I loved. I had read the book so many times that the binding fell apart. and I could quote whole paragraphs of different chapters. Thank God, I don't read that seriously anymore. I wouldn't have any books left!
